I never said you said it was gona come out flawless, reread what i said.
With tested software? So nobody tested Android2.0 in the Nexus?
Whats this got to do with NOKIA? we've already said no phone comes bug free anyway.
I know SE make good screens, YOU just dont get what i was saying it had nothing to do with X10s screen.
Your last sentence makes no sense, as im not complaining or saying anything about a missing feature,to me X10 is a well equipped, if not THEE best equipped Android device specwise, the problem is SOFTWARE, as we know SE are never great in their 1st try of a platform or OS, and the fact that they themselves modded 1.6 is worrying, IMO.

Well.It is THE best specced android phone announced ATM!! What I am saying is that the Android1.6 is way more stable than 2. What I am trying to comprehend is what makes the v1.6 inferior to the v.2.0 in this case? As per me, the only gripe I see among people is tha lck of the latest software which obviously has been monopololized by Google more than by SE. None of the cooked UIs have received any updates and it is more of a google policy than a idiocy by SE.

The X10 is marginally better specced than the Nexus One, but it is marginal - we're really only talking about the camera here. The killer for SE is that the Nexus One is already out, other phones will already be chasing it, and the X10 could still wind up with a March release - by which time the chances of it maintaining any kind of lead are pretty slim.

Oh, and don't expect the Nexus One to still be even remotely buggy by that point..

It is indeed in the latest devices. I havent had a single problem with stability, and it seems to be the same for 5530xm, OmniaHD, and other 5800xm owners after V21 fw.

THE best specced android phone announced ATM

Unfortunately that is all it is................... announced! as for the performance of the Prototype's running Timescrape the phrase "runs like a three legged dog" springs to mind.

My prediction is as follows: the X10 will be too late to really make an impackt on the sector, it will be over priced, slow (due to SE meddling with OS and UI) and running V2.0 at best.

However it could become a decent unit if we can override the Time and Mediascrap crippling, it should have a decent media player (I hope it has bookmarking and sleep timer like my W960) and the screen looks good, but IMHO 8mp camera is nothing but a gimmick, its looks are not as good as the competition (far to angular for my taste)
I have owned the ... T68i T610, P800, P900, P910, P990, W950, P1, W960 But SE have now totally lost the plot.

My Nokia 5800 is great not a single issue! very very stable, no crashes, no locking up, the best BT to PC connectivity I have EVER used. And I can choose what connection I want for every application!
After two years my SE W960 still does not connect to my PC by BT and has cable sync issues despite all the help the SE help desk can provide!

Have you ever used S60v5?

You just described my Satio. So, what are we crying about again?

The X10 is marginally better specced than the Nexus One, but it is marginal - we're really only talking about the camera here.

So umm... the better media handling is not a factor? How about the bigger screen? Face recognition within the picture gallery, perhaps? Then again, why are we talking specs here? you yourself have a horribly outspecced phone, don't you? Should we write it out of the competition by the same yardstick then?

Or are the rules different for that particular example?

Amusing that even with all the godawesomeness in the NexusOne, it still can't hold on to a 3G signal if its life depended on it.

Ericsson presents 3D maps on the Xperia X10

Ericsson Labs has introduced a new API, called 3D Landscape. Along with it, they have also posted a short video demonstration, which really managed to get us excited about the new technology and its possible application in the future. In short, 3D Landscape is like Google Maps, but in full 3D! All the buildings and objects on the satellite map are in 3D, which actually looks very cool. And it runs pretty smooth too, judging by what we see on the video, where 3D Landscape is demoed on a Sony Ericsson Xperia X10, although the developer says that the software is also available for Java environment. For now, the SDK libraries released by Ericsson Labs include 3D maps for Stockholm, but more are on the way. It would be too cool to see such technology used in a GPS navigation app, but we guess all is in the hands of devs now.

Brilliant, thanks for posting. Now we have to hope our native cities will be included soon.

Sorry, but after using Satio and it's UI I'm very much looking forward to using SE's Android. We should be now hoping to move away from having to constantly update our phones over and over again in order to get them working normally, no matter who is selling them.

The camera factor isnt marginal by any means. The pic quality is leaps and bounds better than the ones provided by similar offerings. It is here that X10 will trump its competitors when given a choice. The Nexus One is not out globally. The X10 in all probability shall have a global launch which compensates for the time the Nexus has been on shelves. The Nokia N900 isnt out in the Uk yet.
