Hi guys, I'm a total newbie here.. I heard from my friend that there's way to access the internet through my phone without any surcharge.. and so I looked up for this OPERA MINI over the internet and now google took me here. There were a lot of topics all over this forum and I just cant find what I'm looking for! 
Can anyone tell me how to make this opera stuff work on my mobile? also, I saw lots of links for java files, I think those were for the opera mini thing, unfortunately, I cant get these things working on my android.. seems like there were lots of supportive people here, can anyone help me with this? I'll be thankful if someone does 
by the way, if ever you need to know my specs,
Phone is Samsung GalaxyY
Gingerbread
Android version 2.3.5
I have access to all networks, except Sun Cellular.. lol
I have the default settings for the APNs
and.. what else? notify me if I miss anything, thanks a lot and more power to your community! imma check this thread time after time.. |

there are two ways to access ubt/fbt using operamini.
1. omhandler.jar, using java apps. but first, you need a java emulator. jbed for gingerbread. Jbed's TUT and link here i suggest to use jbed flashable via cwm. you can also use ucbrowserhandler.jar. just search here in esato for the apps GPRS setting i mentioned above.
2. ommod.apk. Using operamini for android modified for globe or smart. here's the link for GLOBE for SMART
GPRS Setting:
For Globe
Connection Name:
MyGlobeConnect
Apn: http://www.globe.com.ph
Proxy: 203.177.42.214
Port: 8080
Set it as Default
For Smart
Connection Name: Smart MMS
APN: mms
Proxy: 10.102.61.46
Port: 8080
Credit: Tol dzebb
