The Xperia SX is MT28
I think this is the Ray (ST18) successor; they both seem similar in size and both have elegant designs.
You all agree?

Yes
Anyone can confirm that ST26i codename is Olive?

Hmmm, to be honest, Im getting totally lost with all the Sony derivations and overall the Android phones.
They all look the same, hardware and software wise. Where´s the great difference that make people praise the GX over the XS?
A tad more speed?
I don't know, mobile phones were a lot more exciting a couple of years ago..... |

It's because of the popularity of touchscreens now, that phone designs aren't radically different anymore. The screen basically takes up the entire front, with not much room for creative designs. Kudos to Sony/SE though, for always trying to incorporate different designs/elements in their phones, eg Xperia NXT series is unmistakable on the market.

But the GX & S are so different design-wise! The S has the transparent strip and hard edges all around, and the GX has rounded, soft edges, plus an arc-esque back. Compare these to LG & Samsung designs...and all HTCs, which all look almost the same!

That´s why I keep coming back to the Sony Forum, as they are the only one with at least the ambition to create a discernible design! Even Apple with their communist "one-design" for all policy is boring me to peaces. If it just didn't work so well... |

The Orange colour on the SX is not uniform which makes it look a bit strange. The design is nice but not distinctive like the Xperia S, U or P which I think will still look good in 3 or 4 years time. With the screen taking up most of the front, I wouldn't expect anything that special these days but look at the Xperia P, its really attractive all the way round. The X10 had it, the Arc had it, the Xperia SUP have it but not these two. |

I'd say the best SX is the orange with its three shades. What they should do is make a 3 shade color a signature of Sony.
I don't want a signature anymore. |

i would love to see the an international version of Xperia SX with a camera shutter key...and hopefully a pro version of it with a qwerty keyboard!! that would be perfect! |

Wow, until today I thought the GX was the better looking device but the SX certainly has the looks. I'm loving the '4-block' design and they've certain packed in quite a bit of tech into that small package.
I agree with kewsvnet, they should bring out the SXi and SXi Pro for outside Japan.

Now It looks like Sony is really making play with our eyes with SX, at first it looks like iPhone but after seeing the pictures, it's quite distinct. GX is awesome in hardware but SX
has the traditional yet beautiful sony style.

I just hope the Xperia GXi screen is much brighter and have higher contrast than the Xperia S one. Also, I hope the phone uses Gorilla Glass for the screen. Sony is kind of behind when it comes to screen.
Anyway, the battery is really a downer! The Xperia SX, which is a small phone, has a big battery for its size while the GX has a big screen only gets a 1700 mAh battery. Come on Sony, where's the logic in that?
