All smartphones released these days come out with bugs. No point comparing one company to another because they are all guilty of the same thing. Its not like the Nokia 3210 days when there were little or no bugs, what with all the non colour screens and stuff
This whole 1.6 v 2.0 is getting annoying. Its coming out with 1.6 whether you like it or not. So no need to keep complaining about it. And ive said it before, there are still Android phones coming out now with 1.6 or less. The LG GW620 being one of them due to be released shortly, and the Moto Backflip which was just announced at CES. Guess what, theres no 2.0 or 2.1 in there out of the box.

i'm not even considering nexus one over the x10. sure it has an AMOLED screen which is great. but it's physical design, imo is ugly. Also, the need/requirement to use that stupid trackball definitely kills it for me.
X10 all the way for me. even with 1.6, many added features in 2.0 are custom added by SE to 1.6. There's no real advantage to going to 2.0. Even google nav works on 1.6. I'd rather SE work jumping 2.0 and going to the next iteration of android. Either to 2.1 or beyond.

I was simply pointing out the huge amount of support the Hero has got, that even its OS is being updated, and that the NexusOne wont stay buggy,it will be treated like the Hero.
As for 2.0 vs. 1.6 , 2.0 has alot more than "a few stupid features" im sure when the X10 gets that update it wont be so "stupid" anymore as for now 2.0 is "stupid" cause the X10 doesnt have it yet. Love how things work here remember the days of 262k vs. 16m colours? Not so "stupid" now that SE use 16m,lol.

Yea.Stupid features. Live wallpapers. OMG!! I am dying..
Most of the essential feaures like Bluetooth transfer has been ported to the X10. And about multitouch.the Nexus doesnt have it.
Given the current state of Android 2,i would rather have a stable thing in my hands. And about the x10 being buggy, how many smartphones have SE rolled out in recent history? The WM and Symbian ones were crippled due to the OS and also SE's first.Given that the Nexus and others are suffering from major bugs, i would be happy if the X10 suffers from something puny like a slightly laggier interface than expected.

@gucci- It would nice if X10 had the update, but it isnt the end of the world like you make it to be. If they had significant improvements made to the API I for one would surely have jumped on the "bring the update bandwagon".But for now, it isnt necessary and isnt worth the hype nor the trouble.

Whatever the problem with Nexus One, it is software related and can be fixed by an update.
To tell you frankly, I can't really get what your point is. Everyone wants a stable device but if it does not have much features it is boring. It's like why don't I just buy a notebook.
It HAS most of the features that 2.0/2.1 is bringing and has a better media experience than them. Why is it so hard for you to grasp this SIMPLE concept? |

Se dude
"The WM and Symbian ones were crippled due to OS" LMAO! Loving the excuses man, but wait, there are plenty stable and non-crippled Symbian and WMs out there by other manufacturers, hmmm. . .i wonder why.
Lol,it certainly aint the end of the world if it doesnt come with 2.0 indeed, and im not making it out to be that way, thats just your imagination playing with you im simply pointing out the ridiculous excuses you're making for SE, the X10 will have more bugs than a laggy interface, whether its 1.6 or 2.0 ,i doubt 1.6 is that perfect, the Hero had to get plenty of updates to get it to be stable.

In all fairness Gucci (And I've asked this before), show me a high end smartphone in recent history that came flawless out of the box, day one. |

haha, SO TRUE!!!!!!! how many pages there was that drama about screen colours?
just in that respect 2.x will be an important update.

Thats exactly what im saying lol when i say whether its 1.6 or 2.0 it will have bugs, so its no excuse. Going by what the se_dude is saying, its as if X10 will come out almost perfect unlike if it had 2.0 ,so what im saying is even 1.6 you will have bugs, especialy since SE have modded it with some 2.0 features.

There are gonna be issues, sure. But the probabilities of having major issues are greater with 2.0 at this point of time than 1.6. That's all I'm saying, man. |

Geez, I just noticed on a video that you have to remove the X10's battery to access the memory card. WTF? What a step backwards!

The probabilities of having major issues are far greater with SE (let alone SE's first phone of this type) than most other manufacturers - that's also undeniable.

@gucci-Stop framing me. I never said that the X1 is going to come out flawless. I said i would rather have a pretty stable phone with a tested software than an unstable phone with millions of niggles as is seen everywhere. And the probability of a phone being bad is greater or nokia given hat they havent been able to bring out a remotely bug free phone in recent history.
And about the colors. SE has always been a pioneer in screen technology and all reviews state that the X10 has an excellent screen. Now if you assume that since SE hasnt had an update or SE hasnt had this feature thats why it is being flamed, be my guest. |
