This repositioning has always occurred - I have just tested it on my R1CB phone. However, I am not sure you could classify that as 'a think black line at the end of the video' - the end of playback is pretty smooth in my opinion, despite the repositioning.

Could anyone with a later firmware comment on this? I don't really want to add this as a bug in the first post if it simply video repositioning.

This is how I se the black lines. As I said, it is not in the video.

I have R1EG001 and the thick black line briefly appears when you open and close any video.

Just to confirm..cpw has brand specific firmware for the k800i.I know for some, reaching a cpw service centre will be a pain, but, it's the best way to get it for free at the moment.

Baste07 what are you looking for? Is there a specific function that you have in mind? You seem anxious about this based on your posts regarding this.

N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here?

@Psycho Dave
Great video! It shows the problem very clearly and is absolutely not present with my R1CB001 firmware. I'll add it to the post as a bug in R1ED001

@mwarner

Add this information to the black line bug that it occurs only in file manager, not in video player.

Thanks!

Just wondering what R1EG001 fixes that R1ED001 didnt? I'm about to update the firmware from R1CB001 and I notice people are talking about a video problem. Is this the only obvious problem or am I better off just upgrading to D001 for now?

I'm sure I've posted this what-you-call-now 'thick black line flashes' several pages before. I used the term 'flicker' at that time, didn't know how to call it properly. But, I think it is only how the system 'restores' itself. This flaw doesn't affect the video during playing at all. It only appears as the transition of play and stop, which I think not a big deal. During playing, there is no black thick line flashing at all. However, I do respect other members' analysis about it and their consideration about it as a bug. It's much better to not have this black line, right? IMHO, This phenomenon is like 'blurred' photo view before it gets into the full resolution. The phone system needs time to restore the video file. Let listen what other Esato experts say about it. There are many here, aren't they? I'm definetely NOT one of them.

1. My name is not sarpy. If you have problems with the name, take a good look and try again.
2. Not all upgrades supply enhancements. Many to most provide stability. Not a new feature to show off to your friends or something to test to death until you find a bug with. Being as the k800i is a bit complicated and sophisticated, these upgrades are move cosmetic and enhance the stability, i.e. no more WSOD, or power on and off issues.
3. A certain level of user sophistication is also required with this phone.
4. If you do not like my inquiring about your: "what's new, what's new, what's new, what's new, what's new" questions then simply ignore them.

Obviously you did not pick up on the nuances of my inquiry. Next time I will be a bit more obvious for you, and break it down to the lowest common denominator.

Is your phone stable in its daily operation or are you looking for something new? Reason being, SE will drop something new very soon, and the k800i will be old hat. Start saving your pennies. Mine is going up on ebay next week. Only had it two months.

Is it possible to ban out people from a thread? (Yes I mean sapporobaby here). I can tolerate stupid questions, repetitive bug reportings, because this forum is what for. But this constant f.cking with peoples.... I hate this!

If so, somebody please do something....

I read only this thread because i've bought a k800i, but it so annoying forum, that the only usefull page is the first one..... I will never post here any more....
