I've always wanted one of those!
But i guess it could come in handy in less developed countries or at that camping trip...

Anything that prolongs battery life is good. I don't think we'll be seeing the days when our large screened phones last a whole week anytime soon.

SONY NEXUS INCOMING Maybe
Google's apparently ready to greatly expand its Nexus program: the Wall Street Journal is reporting that the company plans to give as many as five device OEMs early access to future versions of Android and sell those devices directly to consumers.
it seems that Google's trying to get hardware OEMs to differentiate from each other based purely on the hardware and not on the various custom Android skins that cause major delays in updating the OS (and reduce functionality, in many cases). |

That usb wind up charger is a great piece of tech! why? because coming from a country with earthquakes and the potential of being caught up in one could be likely this would be ideal for that! I have an emergency kit at home with food, windup radio and torch so this would be perfect if communication is vital to staying alive! Well done Sony, bring it here to NZ and a lot of people will buy it I promise (including me!) |

I did own one of these cranked-type chargers back in the 7650 days, unless Sony puts some powerful alternator to supply steady current even within low RPMs, This thing will tire your hands before you can even make a call

The glowing logo is very nice! I've been doing the same idea on my past concepts, It's a good thing that Sony finally materializes it, hopefully it will also be present on the International versions. GX has a very good design!

Is the GX display a new one from Somy or just the same as on Xperia S? The Clear Black Panel looks amazing!
Anyway, Xperia GX looks rather chunky! Isn't supposed to be slimmer? |

Its a Sony screen. Clear Black Panel is nothing new though (its basically "no airgap display") and it was present on the Xperia Arc as well.
But what's new is the fact that it has a 100% NTSC/96% Adobe RGB color gamut screen. Possibly the first high color gamut screen on a smartphone !
