Check and make sure that you have the latest client. Also, make sure the drivers are installed correctly. I had a problem with Windows where for some reason it would lose the USB information of my ISDN card, and the card would not work. To fix this, I would go into device manager, delete the USB hub, restart, let Windows find it and install it again, and then I would install the drivers again, and things would work fine. Needless to say I now use a Mac.

Can anyone confirm the functionality of the recently released: R2FD001?

I have found some more new features with R1ED001:
- If you select a program or a game in the programs or games folder, and press the More button (=right softkey), there is a new command: Move to Phone or Move to M.S (either one, depending on wether the game or program already is on the memory stick or not)
- I don't remember if it was like this before, but if you have tour earplug in your ear, and then connect them to the phone, you will hear a very spacy sound, confirming that the earphone is connected.

Was there already. Not new.

in case anyone is interested, just tried to update via SEUS and got the "Latest version" message. I'm using:
K800i - R1CB001
on 3 - Australia
and I'm not sure it matters, but the EROM I have is: R3A011
So I'ma still awaiting. Either way I'm happy for the moment, just got all my bluetooth stuff working. Lovin it! FYI Toshiba Bluetooth stack sucks the wang. |

Now that was useful! This is just the quality of replies we've all learned to expect from you.

Can I just mention a point on this one:
"You must now press the Internet key for a couple of seconds to bring up the browser. This is to prevent accidental connection to the Internet. "
I have R1ED and I can just press my button to bring up the browser. I flashed with EU_2 firmware.

This is mentioned on the first page. Doesn't anyone bother to read these posts? Maybe its time to lock this thread.

When did YOU last check the first page? Since it definitely does not mention the differences in the delay, between WOTAN ja SEUS firmwares. |

Yes, I know, you stand corrected.
As for knowing what to expect from me, prove me wrong then. If not then you know what you can do.

Can you try the OTA upgrade? It seems that there is a problem, as my co-worker is trying to upgrade. He gets a connection to the server but then gets a network error.

A little change
The battery indicator has changed a little. When it's almost empty the last line it is not black like in R1CB, but intense RED.
And a big change for me
Until i updated to R1ED if the battery was empty and the phone switched itself off I never could turn it on again. Now I can and the problem with WSOD is gone. |

Yes, we've been quoting that entry the whole time. The thing is, we are talking about the differences between WOTAn and SEUS fw's. SEUS has the 2 second delay, and now it seems that the firmware updated from WOTAn doesn't have the delay. See?

@Rampe
As has been stated before, and confirmed by SE, the f/w on SEUS and Wotan are the same. However, Wotan has the ability to alter some of the phones functionality. It is not the f/w. If there is new operation functionality, it is most likely a product of something Wotan has done to the phone rather than a software implementation.
Check and mate.

Noted that the delay is only on SEUS updated phones in the first post.
@jungleandy4 & ~DC:UK~
I am not entirely sure what firmware I would put the 'black line' bug down for. It seems JA4 has R1EG001, but I am not sure if this appears in earlier firmwares - what firmware did you have previously? What do you have Dave?

I meant the internet button explanation you fool, I know the actual firmware is listed, but nothing about the internet button under R1EG.
Since we now know why they are different perhaps it can be added so people know updating via Wotan will not have the 'delayed' internet functionality? |
