I wonder which concept they'll go with the phablet? The seamless concept is too cool. |

They are likely to choose the y concept or other metal concept (all metal rumor) for all q4 high end devices just like they do with omni balance for more then 2 years now, so i wouldn't expect that seamless tube design unless they change their design strategy and the rumors are false... |

Damn, I want that second render to become a reality, although imo change the power button, it needs more details
Makes me want to make another concept.

They can go with the tube and make it all metal. Vizileaks said to xleaks about the edges less curvy than Y concept which makes me think about a hybrid between Y and tube. I am a big fan of flat top and bottom edges since Nokia N9. Looks very sleek.

Who knows... in the end these are just concepts so everything is possible. what is special about the tube is that it is one part glass, hence, "seamless", no cut lines. a metal version of it would have to be cut to 2 pieces or more and this would change the uniqueness of the design to something else. |

The metal tube would be similar to this actually. Circular power button and there you go.

Worthy, but needs a lot of modifications. i'm not sure if sony current power button would work with a fingerprint scanner because the surface is very small, that is probably why the concepts button is shaped more like a finger and has a much bigger touch surface, like x4 more surface compared to the current button. |

I wonder why Sony did not opt for Qualcomm under display finger scanner...
If it was because it's still not reliable, then it's okay... or maybe Sony is thinking to use the finger scanner in more devices, not just Qualcomm based ( or not other non-820 based )

6.9mm thickness! Yesss! But no word on wireless charging?
Anyway, looks like I'm going to skip this one. Hopefully they'll announce something even better this September. |

don't know exactly since it's all in japanese but it seems there's a dock for it:
personally I'd prefer a dock than wireless charging but this dock makes it portrait orientation rather than landscape.
The only real use of wireless charging in my opinion is to prevent damaging the flaps from opening and closing while charging, but it states that the Z4 does not have flaps so there's nothing more to worry about.
