True. It is missing 2 keys actually. The Activity key and the Internet (or if it was a Walkman phone, the Walkman key) |

How do you know SE will be putting in this key anyway?
Some networks branded that button. On 3uk that key could only be used to go to the music store which is rubbish if you intend to use that.
mcpersil is this a wind up or is this really what sofia will look like?
Looks nice. |

Yeah, there seams to be a couple of missing buttons. On the other hand you can't tell how bid the keys on the keypad are looks at a K770 to see what I mean.

Sorry, but that 'photo' is really poorly done.
The top is from a slightly modified white K610:
The rest of the body is from the silver K750:
The softkeys and keypad is from deuxani's Ai photoshop:
And the dpad is from the K610 again:

Im not saying if its fake or not..... But to all who are saying its got no Activity/Internet buttons, why does that matter? What if decided to scrap it? I know the 2 buttons have been present in most k series phones to date, but still it could happen. Or what if the buttons have been moved to the side of the phone, say like one button similar to the volume button which has 2 functions (up,down obviously) but only located on the other side? Just think of these 'possibilities'.

I may agree with you, reasonably reasons..
but I think it's hard to do this
1- is going for more multitasking, removing the AB is not logical here !
2- Alot of functions of the software depend on that button, removing it will be not logical it will hardness the user experience.
3- moving to the side ( or any where ) it's could be but I don't see a point of it, the organamic of these candybar usage make it easier for moving to side. it's not a touch screen UIQ that maybe used with two hands. these candybars are designed to be heavly used using only one hand.
for these two reasons and maybe more I can't think of them in my hurry I can't agree in the logical side of your opinion.

Anybody knows what kind of memory will the new models support?
Will SE continue to use M2 cards or not? Especially for high end devices (Sofia) |

Very interesting topic.
I'd like to know a little more on the software side though...
Is there going to be any release of Mac software to go with phones???
In particular some sync app or some music app (I'd love to see iTunes compatibility of some sort)?
Sales of Macs have increased and, although Sony uses Windows for its Vaio series (btw will we have a Vaio smartphone anytime soon? ), I think it is a mistake not to consider the Mac platform for software. Moreover I recall that CNet announced that Sony will not produce any desktop PCs anymore (only Vaio notebooks and Vaio Mediacenters)...
Does someone have information about compatibility with Mac? Of course I can already sync my K800i with Mac through iSync, but a specific, all-in-one software (for sync-ing with my Entourage, iTunes, upgrading firmware and backing up) would be much more comfortable.
Cheers

Is the dpad the same as on the w810?
I never used a k610 so cant tell if it differs. |
