hi, im from uk. i have EU_1 with Europe_2 and i have tried to update via the website and it says i have the latest software. Does anyone know when the R1N035 will be available for Europe_2?

Yes its unbranded EU4 this thing is really annoying contacted SE call center whos only advice was to go to my local SE Service Center and get it reflashed  |

recovery mode too? and you're sure you didn't have 1.4 installed? this is getting bad...i may have to send it in for repair.
btw, what error message appears in the log for you? for me it says Exception Exception wainingForCommand() or something like that. then something .a is bad, but the .n and others were fine. is this familiar?

Yes I have tried recovery mode a couple of times and I get the same log as GeKoX, I have Java Runtime Version 1.4.2_04 which should be the old version it have worked with my two previos updates to R1J and R1L. I also tried to update on my other computer which has a completley clean Win XP install and get the same error after 48% so something is not right hopefully they will fix it within a couple of days. |

Hm.. I have updated my phone from R1J to R1L (Thought the latest was on the site, but not yet), and before I did that, I have upgraded my java to the latest one, I think. The reason is that after checking all the items on the checklist when you are on the update page (e.g phone turn on, usb cable connected, req't on your PC, ...etc), it shows nothing, and I found out that my java version is too old.
So, I downloaded the java from http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp and I am not sure if this version will cause the error with update to R1N. |

I tried deleting the files but no good.
Also noticed it jumps from 51% to a 100 |

Like I said earlier on today, my phone just went dark (and I followed every ath of the way, very carefully)... No one answered my call at Se...
Jad to take my k750 to a service center. It will take 20 days before I get it back... They lent me... a seven year-old Nokia...
I just can't believe it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! A black and white screen, siux ringtones, no wap, NOTHING !!! Thank you SE, I have always had a Sony or SE phone and ow, I get a dinosaur from Nokia...
I just wnt to mention that recovery mode is not meant to work, because, if your phone shut down, and if you press C while attaching it to USB, well guys, it just installs new USB drivers for your PC but never does it take you back to your old firmware.
Simple fact !
If your phone turns to black while updating you get a free-no-queue ticket for service... and for a Nokia.
This whole thing is really crap. Stupid updating process, stupid people behind...
My only hope is they won't give me pmy phone back with the first firmware available for the k750... Many people complained that their phone was sent back to its early days after a service. In that case, you don't get anything better... It just gets worse !
What a shame, what a scandal, what a tragedy...
I had to make a trip to Paris this week-end,w elle quipped with k750, but instead, I'll use this sh**** Nokia crap...

-recovery mode does work (if the first time it nstalls drivers the second time it should start updating, note you should hold c pressed till you see at least 2%, if less might freeze)
-eu_2=europe_2 does and can be updated to r1n035 (with generic eu_2 cda that is, if you have generic uk cda with eu_2 fs than you out of luck for now, just to clarify that)
-updating jumping from 50-60% to 100% has been mentioned and explained before but ill do it once more (on seus only main flash is updated completely since it is the one that contains bugfixes and genuine improvements, the fs flash just gets partial update meaning only the difference between fs versions is updated explaining why updating from r1l to newest it jumps from around 53% and if you going from orriginal firmware it could be as high as 65% since theres more code written to compensate for the actuall changes in the firmwares, going from r1j to r1l jumps at about 52%)
-tip for those that check if they can update every few hours (go to C:Program FilesSony EricssonUpdate Servicesoftware-data and delete firmwares, then go to seus and start the updating, when it starts downloading see what files are in the folder on your pc, if its r1l stop the procedure no need to do a full reflash just to find out you still on r1l, alternate has been edited since it could get evn more confusing)

Also I noticed that menu speed is increased. If I switch tabs in settings menu they appear more fast than in R1L.
