WebMessenger Mobile for Skype works by connecting the mobile device with the users' Skype software running on the desktop at home or in the office. By triggering the users' active SkypeOut account, WebMessenger Mobile for Skype allows users to call anywhere in North America for free and to countries around the world based on Skype's low rates.
"We have had tremendous growth in interest from customers who are using Skype's VoIP telephony service for both personal and business purposes for its ease of use and very low cost," said Joe Naylor, Chief Marketing Officer for WebMessenger. AT&T bundles landline, Internet with Razr running Cingular service
SAN ANTONIO, Texas—AT&T Inc. is flexing its bundling muscles with a summer offer for consumers that includes service from Cingular Wireless L.L.C. and a Motorola Inc. Razr handset.
The offer includes Cingular Wireless service, unlimited local and long distance landline service along with high-speed Internet access for $95 a month for the first six months; after that, the price increases to $100 per month. The Cingular plan includes 450 anytime minutes and 5,000 night and weekend minutes with unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling.
Additional perks for bundle customers include a Motorola Razr for $100 before a $100 mail-in rebate (with a new Cingular Nation plan) and a $120 Visa gift card for customers who order or have AT&T’s All Distance local/long distance service and can provide a copy of a current wireless bill from a provider other than Cingular.
The Razr offer is available through the end of August, according to AT&T. The gift card offer is available through Dec. 31, as is an additional offer in which residential phone customers who sign up for or upgrade to a qualifying bundle will receive an integrated mailbox service for free.

I switched from T-Mobile to Cingular for broader coverage. How's the T-mobile signal in your metropolitan area? By the way how's your P900, did they fix the synchronization problem with MS-Outlook as some users having problem with?

My P900 is just doing fine. Got a great signal here. Even with only two or one bar I can hold a clear conversation. The whole network with the fewest dropped call is bogus. It all depends on the quality of the antenna in your fon. If you have a good phone you got a good antenna.
I don't synchronize with Outlook. I will wait for the active synch in the P990.
But it worked with my old computer.

Glad to hear your P900 doing just fine & you got a great signal in your area.
Dropped calls means barely or no signal at all, it could be bogus but I get a full bars on areas that T-mobile don't have signal at all. Don't get me wrong I have T-Mobile service too.
I needed a wider coverage coz I used back-roads occasionally on my commute. Cingular covers even on the hillside(cow tracks) t-mobile don't, coz I-80 corridor is a parking lot during the commute hours. You will never know when a good signal you needed the most!
Wow, P990 that's a very pricy active synch.

Cingular Wireless today launched its super-charged wireless network in San Antonio, capable of providing customers with high-speed access to voice or data information in a world that has gone mobile.

That's their target point (start deploying) to join the high-speed community. I think it's worth the wait for T-Mobile's deployment, perhaps a better & wider spectrum of 3G (or 4G or WiMax capability) Backbone equipments will come up in the horizon. | |
