No problem, sleep tight and dream of MMS
Now updated to 3.0 and no MMS - not supported by my network I guess.
Copy and paste will be useful and the landscape keyboards.
Currently syncing my Vaio and iPhone via BT. The Vaio supports A2DP.

MMS not supported by Vodafone NZ? that doesn't sound likely does it?
earlier there were issues with Italian unlocked iphone... surely there's not an issue with NZ unlocked iphone too?

It's not happening.
Vista doesn't know where to find the BT drivers, anyone else know the location of the file? Is it in Bonjour or iTunes or...?
Only Apple could overcomplicate BT to this extent.

They refused to say what features they would be supporting and ended discussion on the matter last week. Who knows?

MMS works after a restart of the phone. Tethering is supported, but I'll try that later.
Still struggling with the BT connection.

I'm finding it a lot slower and troublesome.
Wi-fi signal is sh1te.
Wi-Finder doesnt work.
internet is now also slow.
and randomly get "an unknown error has occurred"!!!
the "unknown error" is to do with the iTunes store/activation. Last night I tried to update a couple of apps from the AppStore and it wanted me to agree to new T&C's in the iTunes store. The only problem was, with iTunes servers in the state they were, the terms weren't loading or it wasn't registering my response - I got the "unknown error" a couple of times and a "could not connect to iTunes store" other times. I gave up on that and all was well elsewhere.
This morning, while America sleeps, I tried those updates again and the new terms popped up and got agreed without a problem - so you might want to let your phone do whatever it was trying to do now.
As for the wifi - can't help you there I'm afraid, no difference here at all.
What I have noticed is the very occasional moment of unresponsiveness - it's not quiet as slick and stumble-free as the previous OS but I suspect that's just in the nature of .0 releases - I'm sure it will all get smoothed over and optimised again in 3.1, 3.2, and the rest.

@scouser_75, I don't think I've seen anyone have so much bad luck with iphones that you've had, I feel for you. Is this what getting a sim free one does for us though? makes me think twice
I uploaded 3.0 a week ago and its been smooth sailing all the way, and like boinng, I really love the landscape keyboards
LOL Well everything seems to have sorted itself out now!
As someone else mentioned the error message was purely down to iTunes being overloaded!
Wifi working as it should.
Back up to speed.
The only odd thing happening now is when I access safari without wifi sometimes I get the message "cellular data network not found" even though the page loads without any probs!! |

MMS won't work until O2 enable it - you'll get a text from 1010 when that happens. If you're worried they're ignoring you, you can text MMS to 1010 for free, but it should happen automatically. It took a full 24 hours (from update) for me though, during which I had an apology from 1010 for how long it was taking to activate everybody.
