I honestly don't see where the criticism of the display is coming from at all. Just to clarify, I'm not a Sony fanboy either, my last SE phone was a w910i before I jumped over to HTC.
The actual unit is easily the best looking phone of the market. Say what you want about the specs of the HTC One etc, the Xperia Z is far, far better looking.
The screen itself is literally crystal clear. My brother has a Galaxy S3 so I had the opportunity to compare them. I guess you could describe the S3's colours as richer but far less realistic. The S3's icons and everything else are also noticablely pixelated too, especially when you have the phone close to your face, where everything on the Z is pin-sharp. Honestly, I have no idea how anyone could genuinely claim the S3's screen to be better or even close to the Z's.
You literally state the obvious. The GS3 is obviously going to be less sharp. For a start it's pentile matrix and is 720p not 1080p. Duh

Wonder why they compared it to the GS2 very odd but interesting at the same time.

According to google translate they used the GS2 because it doesn't have a pentile display like the GS3. This results in better color reproduction and a sharper image. |

played with it for about 20 minutes today. My feelings:
PROS
Superb build quality,
super sharp and quite bright display,
perfect ui,
CONS
Fingerprint magnet
Had no Sony Logo (is that protective film so easy to remove?)
Uncomfortable to handle (large, but also its edges felt a little sharp to me)
colour reproduction and screen brightness very dependant on the angle you look at the screen.
All those flaps
Decided I won't be buying it, Sample Xp. Z photos on the internet don't satisfy me, but the most important thing is that unpleasant feeling when holding the device. |

Heard people saying the sony logo is printed on the screen protector that seems stupid and hope it isnt true. |
