I see what you mean... its almost as though they are holding back on some of their phones... The K610im would have been great if only it had a better camera (auto focus and LEDs) what were they thinking? infact I'd probably go straight out and get one instad of waiting around to see if K770 comes out in Q1 |

Thanks for the compliments
My oh my has this thread grown. I can still remember it when it was just a little baby The first post has gone through a few reshuffles and changes. Hope it looks good.
The thread's reached around 203,000 views Amazing.
Look out Malaysia and Sony Ericsson K700 discussion
@jedi-master
Couldn't find the Australia link Ironic considering the Sydney Opera House is visible on the page
@cristiano
Hmm... that's interesting. Sounds like a brilliant phone. Slim, smart, and probably gorgeous. What more could you want?
I guess this does take SE's dual front philosophy to the extreme. Literally camera on the back and phone/music on the front.
SE needs to move in this direction anyway. It was a matter of time, and there are no Sony brand names that represent all-in-one; so why not combine and Cyber-shot. I bet this phone will have a hefty price tag, but it's for gadget guys like us who are willing to pay for the privilege. Wonder what the index will be.
But it half explains my mildly confusing post

I have a feeling that the phone that cristiano has been talking about (Walkman slider, 3.2MP camera) is the brother of the W900 (Cybershot) re-release.
The W900 re-release will probably be slider (no more swivels, and slider is more practical), just like the 3.2MP slider. But maybe it'll be like the N93i, and be smaller and slimmer than the original W900.
The slider is said to have the same AF camera as the K800 (and W900 re-release), but that's confusing.
Even though the two sound similar, it'll probably be like the difference between the K770 and W770. Both have the same specs (even camera), but the version has the better media player and the K770 has features like Bestpic for its camera.
That's probably the biggest difference between those two, and I'd guess between the K900 (re-release) and slider.
But to add even more to the mix, I read on MR I think, that there would be a K800 slider. Maybe that is the brother to the :W; slider, and the W900 re-release is something else.
And possibly, the W900 re-release may be the Handycam phone. "Slider with a twist"?
Confusing Or is this really Ophira? The missing protoype.

AFAIK, 5mp not 7mp...
yes the GPU in the phone support DVD quality video capture but the news said only QVGA@30. it may because of the rest of the phone hardware ( example the CCD/CMOS and it's bus not cabable of such bandwidth )
I didn't heard any thing about GPS and TV out, any way the most knowledgefull members says that this year will not go very-high end, so we don't expect any thing like what you guess...
see the first post of this thread for all info. sharolin with thanks always make that post up to date with all news & info. |
