I have sent it back to shop and get my money back soon.
I get next week probably another Z for testing...
It's hard to leave this beauty. Hope SONY put better displays in newer units.

and i was about to get one from Germany via ebay. Maybe i should pay some more and get it from here. I played with 8 z's on Saturday and none had washedout colors. (colors on another devices e.g. xperia T was a lot better though, i think, maybe grey theme's fault, on "album" every pic was astonishing) (or anything except on my x10mini's display look better)

I honestly don't see where the criticism of the display is coming from at all. Just to clarify, I'm not a Sony fanboy either, my last SE phone was a w910i before I jumped over to HTC.
The actual unit is easily the best looking phone of the market. Say what you want about the specs of the HTC One etc, the Xperia Z is far, far better looking.
The screen itself is literally crystal clear. My brother has a Galaxy S3 so I had the opportunity to compare them. I guess you could describe the S3's colours as richer but far less realistic. The S3's icons and everything else are also noticablely pixelated too, especially when you have the phone close to your face, where everything on the Z is pin-sharp. Honestly, I have no idea how anyone could genuinely claim the S3's screen to be better or even close to the Z's. |
