Hi all,

Have any of you seen the new Live Screen Themes by Dream.mobi they are being promoted by both CrackBerry and Handago and are very interesting IMO. They are not the cheapest but really are very classy IMO and offer a Live Homscreen amongst the choice of 4 different backgrounds as well as 4 Ringtones and up to 30 Custom icons all for $9.99+tax.

Up to now i haven't liked the L or Today Themes i have seen so far but i just purchased the Velvet one of these and will install and customise it tomorrow. After which i will post some screenshots to see what you think.

It is now 4 months with my Bold and every new firmware just continues to make it better and i still really love mine. Especially since i changed the silver bezel to a black one, i tried the X1 and really didn't like that at all and have been tempted to try the Touch HD. But instead i just spent $10 odd on my Bold instead. I'm not sure why but the Storm just doesn't appeal to me and i really can't see what else i want from a device except maybe a larger screen. It really is true BB's are addictive and once you have one it's hard to go to anything else is my experience anyway.

Marc

Hi !

Not sure what happened to my Bold last night, but the firmware is being re-installed again now. Seems to take 90 minutes or so to do.

When it finished the was a message saying unable to connect to the device and I might need to re-enter the password.

This time I have re-connected and chosen not to enter a password.

Hope this works now ! At the moment, I have a pretty paperweight

Now I get the updating of the Bold happening all te way to the last stage. Then I get the message, You need to enter a password on your device.

Not sure how to do that.

Phone's screen displays a clock icon with the hand going round and round.

Any help much appreciated.

Marc,
Some Curve users have reported that Dream Themes brings your phone to almost a complete stop - it is so memory intensive. I thought about buying this but thought it too expensive. I have noticed that lots of people are now charging for or expecting/requesting Paypal donations for themes they make. Used to be a hobby but for some it's now a business! Must be the Credit Crunch!

Hi guys,
I have software version 4.5.0.81 on my pearl and sometimes it just resets it self.

Is this a common fault with this version?

Hi!

Still having problems with my Bold's firmware. I am sure it is just me not knowing what to do.

This is the final screen and after the Bold will not start..

Got the solution from Nanu and also here

So will try this now....

Hi,

tried all of these steps including the http://www.blackberryfaq.com/[....]mder_will_not_connect_and_wipe

and even had the install transferring everything to the Bold,

but afterwards the Bold displays the white screen with the rotating timer.

I am totally perplexed ! Any other advice much appreciated!

Hi themarques,

now I an re-installing, but when it failed on the last attempts, the screen showed the timer spinning, then the screen switched off and the red light came on.

I have followed advice given on three threads at three BB Forums, with no success.

This current attempt should finish in 5 minutes or so.

EDIT the update has finished and the PC shows this screen again

so i click cancel and get this screen

so now, unplug usb and wait? I read the reboot could take 15 minutes.

I followed this thread too!

@Superluminova

I have not only changed my Bezel but also Marc_SE's i also changed his to the Black Buttons as well. As long as you have a T-5 and an opening triangle and some patience i think it's really quite easy.

@dougproctor

Well so far it hasn't slowed down my Bold or used tons of Ram either but i have to say they have great customer service as i can't get the Media Icon to work. Even if i chose my own module address they are looking into it and sent me the Christmas theme for free. I have worked out my own solution by just assigning the right hand side shortcut key for Media.

I will get round to taking a load of screenshots and posting them later so you can see for yourself. Although the Airplane live screen won't show the moving sky.

Hi dougproctor,

Sorry i haven't got round to taking all the screenshots yet but for an even better view as it includes the Live moving screen there is a link to their website below. I also like one of the supplied ringtones that i am now using for my BB Messenger alert and E-Mail alert from the Velvet Theme.

Hi!

update from me !

Thanks to Nanu and themarques for their help! Last night, via msn, learnt so much in conversation with themarques !

I never did solve the continual loop and tried jl-cmder and also javaloader from the dos prompt but could not wipe the Bold.

Called Vodafone today and was told that I was sent an BB 9000 Bold Enterprise by mistake. I didn't know there was a difference, but was told can't update the Enterprise, so that is why it has crashed!

So exchange coming on Monday afternoon !
