I think people are getting too excited about what to expect and maybe will be disappointed. From what I've read from various posts, it seems like everyone is expecting the next P-series to be small laptop with a built in digital camera all packaged in the current P-series size. I hope it would be as well, but looking at the current crop of phones, it's highly unlikely. Maybe they'll prove me wrong
I just hope they add wifi, better camera, a better screen (like the N90)and a better thumbboard. That's my wishlist. |

But the P910i already has a better screen than the N90! Why would you want to put a worse screen in? Its smaller, lower resolution and less colours than P910i. |

The P910i has 208x320 pixels while the N90 has 352x416 pixels. They both have 262k. Also when I compare for example the p910i screen to my 6681 screen, it's better in terms of having more colour but it certainly is not as bright.
That's just from my eyes of course. Others might have different opinion. |

Sorry. It does have a higher res but it is still a lot smaller.

as i understand it the p910 only uses 262K colours for pictures, the menus and OS all use 64K, whereas the new nokias such as the 6680 and motorolas like the v3 all use 262K palette for everything. this gives a much brighter display with cleaner crisper icons. |

enigma_uk: those nokia's can give more colors in the menu. but the battery doesn't last as long as the P910.
if you would chose between a superb battery against abit more colors in the menu? i think the choice is easely made

When was the P900 released and the P910 anyway?

I disagree Bart. My p910i last around a day and half with 75% brightness. On a full charge of my 6681 with the brightness set a full, the battery lasts 2-3days running similar operations.
I do use my p910i more because it does have better menu system, but I do wish the battery lasted longer. |

i want a slimmer (more slim?) and lighter phone with flip and the rest of what the px00 had.
add a 2MB camera with autofocus so i can take pictures of k750i quality, and i'll be one happy camper.
don't need wifi, don't need tv tuners or coffee machines or toasters, just improve what's already in it.
umts ... would be cool. but with the prices being high as they are now, i probably won't download music videos or anything like that anytime soon!
so ... is it available yet ?

I agree with Bart, I was just pointing out the differences but I am more than happy with 64K colours, video still looks amazing on the 910 screen.
Tkao, I imagine that the 6681 lasts longer at the moment as it is a newer phone and the battery is newer, but saying that, the other thing to remember is that phones such as the Nokia 9500 have 262K colours, but to compensate the processor speed has been purposely lowered to give outstanding battery life, even after using wifi and BT. Also you may find that a newer 6681 handles running processes much better, plus the power usage of any inserted memory card. I have a 6680 but I haven't really used it alongside my 910 at the moment, so cant see if there is an even comparison or not on battery life. |
