@BILAL. Yes man you are right. Warid and Ufone GPRS are working fine. Only telenor gprs is not working. So it can be some telenor internal problem. Regards. Umer

@Umer
TELENOR is not working fine. Call drops has become a common practice in my AREA and I get network busy message constantly when calling some number at night time. I am fed of it. I am afraid that this EUROPEAN QUALITY STANDARDS is also going to become MOBILINK PAKISTAN. When I called the helpline for GPRS problem he said that GPRS is working fine and you would be not getting GPRS signals. He said that Mobile has GPRS signal indicator and note down my complaint as usual. "GPRS SIGNALS" and "GPRS signals indicator", I haven't heard that before, would you please tell me what it exactly mean.
He also said that if U have changed the SIM and put it back again, your GPRS settings get disturbed But I checked it out all settings remain there as it is.
Now I don't know whats the problem. |

Here in my area in Islamabad WARID voice is clearer than that of TELENOR on my mobile. TELENOR call tends to drop after sometime but WARID call remains clear and stable although in weak signals.
WARID signals dissapear sometimes for a minute that was case with TELENOR in the beggining but now its solved a little after a number of complaints. And I hope that WARID will also solve their problem.
These all qualities I discussed only prevail in my area so, all others don't consider it as a whole. Might be someone facing the same satuation.
@MS shiek
WARID has started web2sms service, very Good but it is only limited to its registered users. My complaint is that they should keep the current setup but allow others to access WEB2SMS publically. Why they are doing so? Why they are blocking others to access thier information? Why they don't do as other companies have done for making WEB2SMS easily accessible?

@BILAL. Man i also never heard that there is some other Gprs signal than the usual network signal. On ufone at places where signal is weak the gprs works very slow and disconnect a lot but signal is same. I never saw two different signals that call is working and gprs not because some gprs signal is gone. On WARID we still have signal problems here. When we have insert some other sim and then insert the warid. We find no signal. Then we have to dial the 321 some times first no net work coverage keeps on appearing and then the signal appears at last. Some times we have to reset the hand set one or two times and repeat the procedure to get the signal. This was the thing told to us by the company sales man as we were not picking signal at the first day. We got the 32k sim is there also a 64k sim and whats the difference between them. Regards. Umer.

yes man you can configure with PC using Mobilink indigo... and one thing more its limited for Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and i think Peshawar....
Mr. sheikh your right GPRS is only used by educated peoples but in my case i will choose only that service provider whose GPRS will be cheaper and faster... and i think this is the only discussion forum on net for GPRS and advanced services of mobile phones of Pakistan...so the only place to discuss GPRS etc etc....

@SABTAINALI. Yes man me and radar were grading the ufone gprs as the number one in stability. I also keep it connect up to 8 hours daily but it never dc usually. So its most stable and price also most cheap. Which city are you in as you say you do not have telenor there. Telenor has almost the double speed than the ufone gprs so when you configure with pc then it gives good speed for browsing. but its not stable. It dc a lot and when you are idle for some time they dc you automatically. Thanks for telling about MOBILINK gprs confige with pc. Fsd is also included in the list where it is available. @Bilal. Here i have better voice on telenor so seems its all about which booster is near you warid Or telenor but mobilink and ufone voice quality has no match with telenor and warid they are way behind. Specially mobilink voice is really poor here also may be hand sets also make some difference. My observations are 6600 based. Telenor gprs working for me this time. Regards . Umer.

@UMER
The major diifference betweem 32K sim and 64k SIM is its memory.
A 32K SIM is able to store 250 numbers in phone book and 25 text messages while 64K SIM 500 numbers and 50 text messages.
WARID offers 64K SIM with only POSTPAD connections.
WARID also offers postpaid connections with zero line rent. All prices will be same as prepaid and you can use it upto as much as 1000 rupees per month. Today TELENOR gprs was connected but after sometime it shows the message SERVER BUSY. The second time when I tried it shows the message connection lost. I tried no more after it.

Got a question. I buy a 250 rupee card which has the limit of use of 45 days. If i still have credit but 45 days pass and later i load a new card, will the old credit be added? @zain: yaar no offence, but why do you keep repeating you are 17 years.
