The browser is also improved R2A->R2L. But I'm stilling missing a horisontal scrollbar (now you only seem to be able to scroll horizontally on some places on the web page your viewing)

Can the k500 be updated through the SE online service?
And is it the exact same firmware in k700 and k500? |

It seems like there is some kind of bug at the recurring appointments alert mechanism. I synch my K700 (R2L) with Outlook (2K) calendar to a certain period lets say 20 days back and 60 days ahead. When the time comes for an alert of a recurring appointment the phone is producing an alert for ALL the instances of that appointment in the calendar which results in multiple alerts (which I need to dismiss by viewing) and there will be NO alerts at ALL for the future instances of this appointment!!
Searched through the FAQ/Knowledge Base and I couldn’t find any answers for this issue.
Any ideas ?! |

I took another K700 today and ask official SE Service Center to flash it from R2A to THE LATEST VERSION (I said to them to look for R2AA). They checked EMMA and said that it has been removed from server for unknown reason and that the latest official version for K700 is R2L (EMEA2).
Don't kill the messanger.
Take care

Im new to all this firmware update stuff, i need some help. I have just got a K700i on Orange. I see there is a firmware update. I asked at the shop they told me some porkies then i called Sony they also told me some news. The problem seems to be that im a Mac user. (0SX 10.3v) When i bought the phone they said i will have no trouble with mac. I see on some forums that they have got the iSync to work via Bluetooth. So some compatability. I have told that i can not update from the Sony Ericsson site as it`s PC only. Does this make any sence to anyone........? Please help. im currenlty using R2C001
I like the phone and im not too fussed about sync but i would like the firmware update. I cant see any way to get it without sending my phone back to Sony to be flashed. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers bazaray.

R2AA003 has been removed due to some problems with communication between mobile (K700/K500) and PC with this version... a new version is said to be released in week 43 |

Week 43 is this week! How sure are you sure about that?
Also, do you have any further details as to the problems of R2AA - i.e. whether the comms problem is over IR, Bluetooth, USB or a combination of all of them!?

that's at least the information has released to their servicepoints... but as always with new versions the release date might be different depending on country/servicepoint |

@ mwarner
There is no problem with bluetooth on R2AA if that helps. Its still stable and fast I'd imagine it's a problem with cable-based connections and i'll try my DSS-20 out if I get the chance. |
