in R2L, is the bug where you can't send an SMS to several recipients at once fixed? |

Just wanted to know that if I'd update the software on my phone, will that also bring back those default pictures and sounds SE has loaded on the phone? |

Been on R2L for a couple of weeks now and generally I have an improved handset.
I have noticed the following;
* Much better bluetooth stability.
* Much better phone stability
* 1-2 Sec delay on answering
* The volume when using the headset for voice commands is very quiet. Can hardly hear the beep or the name. Actually in R2A too.
* Battery life is better but far from great. Runs from 11pm Sunday to 8pm Tuesday, that's 45 hours MAX!!! Pretty heavy usage, 45 mins per day calls, 5 SMS per day in and out, 30 mins of games per day. No GPRS and No BT.
I hope the 1-2 second delay is sorted soon, as it is DAMN annoying. |

@sunnychad
Even i face the same problem while answering a call. The calling party cant hear me for 1-2 sec after i answer the call. Someone actually asked me why i dont say hello after answering the call.
Even though I do say Hello, the other person doesn't hear it as K700i somehow activates the microphone only 1 second after the call has been answered.
Hope this is fixed in the next firmware upgrade, along with some other minor issues. |

Is your phone R2L already?
The firmware version of my K700i is R2J041. I don't have such problem. |

Just got off the phone from SE UK - There is no new firmware available for K700i in the UK.
This has pissed me off hugely as other posts seem to inform me that my bluetooth and battery problems could be solved with new firmware.
Currently have Voda K700i and R2A 041 and bluetooth sometimes works, somtime freezes phone and usual one day (if not overused) stand by time.
Can someone message me or post once there is a solution in the UK
Thanks guys |

HK's CS advised me not to upgrade to R2L
She said it can't use BT to connect palm or PPC
She said a new version will release in around 2 weeks |

@Derek456
AHHHH..........
I have just upgraded to R2L and I don't have any problems transferring data to and from my iPAQ H5550 the K700, but when I try to connect to my ISP or dial a contact via the dial via bluetooth option I get the following error message,
"This applet requires the serial port profile (SPP) on the remote phone"
So I think you may have something here. Has anyone else experienced this or can give it a try?
Forgot to add, I have no problems when I connect via my T610.

That's conflicting information. I'm sure many UK people have been told that there are new f/w available?

i have heard that it depends on the "level" of SE service centre you call. (according to someone either on esato or another forum)
supposedly there are about 3 levels of service centre? Level 1's dont have a clue usually, where as level 3's would get the firmware updates first and actually know something about a mobile phone.
i emailed the sony ericsson support from their website. they too said no updates were available. Grrr!
It would be nice if they had a little consistancy throught their company!!!
