wow maybe this thread should be renamed to *EDGE*
lol
as i said befor every company decides what are the priorites and what do the people want....
se decided not use edge in their phones (much like radio) because they think it isn't as important as umts....
and i for one fully agree with that, and i also see why you are so defending about edge, you like nokia and therefore you like edge..
but as i see it nokia is the only manafacturer with edge support in all of their lines and do you really believe that nokia alone will turn the flow?
ALL operators and manafacturers are working around the clock to make
a: a fully functional umts service (not just in large cities)
b: to make better and more attractive phones for users
it seems that nokia aren't taking umts serious, they didn't put it in the comm (why? it's the size of two s700....) the only phone that they got is 7600 which by no means beats any other 3g phone..... |

You guyz are way oftopic now so please continue with the s700 discusion and dont ruining this thread with the stupid nokia vs discusions because they will never end. If you absolutely have to discus se-nokia you can start your own thread about that subject and dont start to discus that in threads that is about another subject. It is starting to anoy me that every single time we talking about new phones there have to be someone that absolutely have to say that nokia is bether and then a guy that like have to prove that he is wrong. Why do Nokia users always come here if se is that bad, afterall this is a sony ericsson comunity for sony ericsson users and not a die hard nokia forum.

I apologize for getting things off topic. Shouldnt let the Trolls get to me, and I shouldn't feed them either I guess.
Personally, I am a bit baffled with the S700. As I understand, the DoCoMo series of phones are built with permission from NTT DoCoMo. Why hasnt any other manufacturer built a phone on the same platform earlier? Its not like the public hasnt asked for it.
Am I missing something? Or has SE got special permission?

the z500 seems like the perfect phone now why the hell would they not put bluetooth in it. That just makes no sense, i guess it makes just as much sense as them not using duo pro in the s700 |

The back of the S700 is the best looking back of every phone I've ever seen, but I have to say that the front of the SO505 looks better on those pics then the S700. The back is really great designed, but the front is too simple in my opinion. |

ok, to clear up some confusion, i searched around for some different pic. so if you compare these two
pics with the seventh one down that @PAVILJONAC posted above, you can tell that the screen rotates 360º. now, if you look at this pic
you can see that it says just duo and not duo pro

Yes, that's the prob but the fact is that the P series for example don't support the 256MB, just the 128 MB: I think in this case, it's just the same.

I think this phone is great...how ever I think SE have focused too much on trying to get it to look like a camera on the back side, on some photo's it looks ugly and on other nice...does anyone agree on this?
