slamEVIL,

Resolution vs screen size/realestate. Do you remember those 17" CRT monitors 2 years back. SOme costed $150 and others like LaCie costed $450+?!!! Wonder why, if same screen size???

Pixel pitch/arperature grille - monitors not LCDs. crappy branded 17" CRTs had .27 arperature grille size (size of holes/pixels imaged on the screen), while the expensive 17" CRTs from LaCie had .19 arperature grille size.

Apple did this with the iBook (white) series at 500Mhz G3's comparing the 14" to the 12" LCDs of the two different models had the same resolution even though the screens where a different size.

Same sort of principle here in this lovely K700 by SE.

The UI & design elegance/luxury remind me of products from Apple, how about you guys??

K700 come to papa, T616/610/630 sorry but this bébé is too hot to let go.

I know the official release date stated for the K700 is Q2 04, but your site is a bit more specific and says June 04, is this info you have found out from somewhere else and so we cannot hope for it in April or May?

I would also like to know this.

Chungagoring, are you sure the month is June?

Only thing I don't like is how there is a dark semi circle over the top of the numpad. Very ugly indeed. Why can't all the keys be lit up evenly!?

Actually, I love this touch! It mirrors the camera side of the phone. And completing the circle of the nav-pad area is the kind of industrial design treatment that usually never makes it into a final product. This phone is like a prop from a scifi film

Ooh! and how about a wallpaper that completes the top of the circle too.. heh heh.. dude, that would be cool.

What about fully customizable message alert tones? Though some may think this isn't a big thing, it was annoying when I was in a room with some t610 users. I had to always check if it was mine that was making all the racket.

I like the design of the K700. The sides are cool to!
It would be cool te make the circle in the buttons complete with a theme in the phone. (screen)

But i think people in the streets/train will look strange when i am talking into a camera. Think of it, people only see the back of the phone, and it is like you'r talking into a camera. They will think i am crazy

I was wondering. According to SE the k700 will have an camera light (or something like that). does this mean that the phone actually doesn't have a proper flash, but it has a sort of auto focus light, like some digi cams ? (even if the k700's camera can't focus)

the white paper says...

"the camera also a photo light to improve taking pictures in darker environments"

and the associate picture makes it look like a flash but I thinks its more like the MPF-10 where the light comes on for a couple of seconds rather than flash

Probably a LED like the "flash" you can attach to T610 and T630. The photo light will hopefully be nice to use as a torch (flashlight).

http://www.sonyericsson.com/cebit/ is updated.

It think they dont gonna reveal new mid-end phones like upgrades for the T310. SonyEricsson is making them stronger in the high-end phones like Z1010, P900, K700, S700, ... But that are expansive phones for most mobile-users. I hope they are gonna release some nice phones like the Z200 that are not that expansive. (T330, T130, T250, Z300, things like that)

They mention
K700
S700
Z500
MMV-100 (media vieuwer)
HBH-600 (bleutooth earpiece)
HCB-300 (new carset)
And other thinks we already known

You can't say only 32MB because no other brands offer you 32MB internal memory than Sony Ericsson and particularly not for that silly amount of money you have to throw away on this handset.

I can and I did Are you saying you think 32MB is enough for playing MP3? All I'm saying is I don't think it is... Apart from that though I want one!
