Apparently, according to Sales Monkey @ OSPS, they are due to receive a batch of P900s today or tomorrow - so he says to expect delivery either tomorrow or the day after...

Hmmmmm........

HO HO HO Merry Bloody Christmas - well it will be if I get my P900 b4 then. [addsig]

I phoned good ol' OSPS today and was given the same reply that I've had for the past 3 weeks of "we should be getting them in over the next day or two". I asked them what the delay was and apparently Orange are having to do some updates to their firmware layer and so are not distributing any more batches until that is fixed. Good one Orange.

I don't make orders online etc. etc. I guess going to the store yourself is a good thing, you can bargain for the item - lenghtily. Paying online with your credit card is also a no-no (for some notorious sites) that is. Paying in COD terms is quite OK as well.

Hello guys girls ever since i made up my mind to cancel my order from osps, i have been happy and asked myself why have i been waiting for osps in the first place? i have been playing with my phone and its a great phone and by far better than the P800 in all aspects. I had a little problem with my bluetooth on my phone, called Orange on Sunday, and Monday morning i recieved a new one in the box again, and since then the phone has been perfect, Tell me what could i have done if the phone was from osps? so people be careful about the place you get your phone from.

Well if these other suppliers are starting to get their P900's in stock, surely Orange will be dispathing to Non Stop Pain Shop soon.

Am holding out, trembling at the thought!!

Well my P900 has developed a fault and I have been given a fault code by Orange.

Called OSPS, my dealer to return the phone. Customers have to bear the cost of postage to get it back to them and as they haven't got any in stock, I will be without a phone and can't take advantage of the 400 minutes cross net calls, 150 photo messages and 2000 text messages. They advised me to ask Orange if they had stock...

Called Orange, and it appears they employ the same monkies OSPS do. They have now informed me that because the rep that supplied the fault code to me didn't log it on the system, they can't warrant a replacement until it has been passed to their tech support. This was passed over a week ago and I have still not heard anything. They have relogged the call and i've been advised a further 7 days, taking me outside of the 28 days return period! Wankers!

So at the moment I have a phone that plays up and although the phone has reported a fault when they have run disgnostics all I can do is sit and wait!

@ Cuppa_T

Looks like we are all on the same boat mate, looks like SE/ORANGE have not developed these phones the way they should of gone out or just this batch of a few thousand, maybe a little to fast on their old release date. Who knows??? Please someone correct my way of thinking if they please!!!

However from reading several forums it appears to be the same across the UK, some are lucky, some are screwed, think that is why they are not currently shipping at the mo, well a few places anyway.

Just hope that they fix the problem and get us our phones by Xmas, fingers crossed!!!.

Lets all start praying, singing hymns, stabbing voodoo doll's at OSPS customer services etc

LOL

Cuppa_T, good luck to ya!, may that phone call come SOON!!!

@cuppa_t

Join the club! I returned my phone to osps last week for a replacement - I'm still waiting for a new one because of their stock problems. What makes it worse is that they said I had to return everything including accessories and SIM card. I'm now paying expensive line rental but can't even use it!!

When I chased on monday they too asked that I phone Orange to see if I could get a replacement quicker but like you I just got the brush off from them as well - 'It's your retailer's responsibility within 14 days'.

I really hope someone gets their act together soon.

@ ucjtckc & Cuppa_T

It's all gone pear shaped, i am now sure that this is a problem with with Orange and SE. Maybe they were not ready to be shipped for distribution, maybe this batch that has gone tits up due to a worker spilling his cuppa on the distribution line???

Hope they sort this mess soon.

@ Everyone, can we not all see a pattern emerging here???

Maybe all P900 are faulty world wide, please forgive my cynicism!!!

But eh, who knows!!!!!!

Me too ucjtckc

I sen't mine back because of bluetooth problems, now waiting for OSPS to get more stock in to send me a new one - when I phoned on the thursday 2 weeks ago they said that when new stock came in, I would be allocated one from that batch. None have come in though

I phoned OSPS about 5:00pm today and they said that they had a batch in end of last week I THINK, and they didn't pass OSPS quality control so they sent them back to Orange.

Well, mine from CPW seems ok, I may have the tinsi winsiest battery issue, although this may be down to my inexperience with this particular phone and not truly knowing how long it should last (I have had 2 days, 9am-12am each from one charge... the battery indicator doesn't go down much when its on standby, but when you actually turn the thing on to do something, such as use the calendar or play chess, you can notice it go down a few percent in a few minutes... dunno if this is right or not?)

There does seem to be a more serious trend of phone failures from OSP though... so bear that in mind whilst you still wait for them to get some in stock ! heheheh
There is no human problem which could not be solved if people would simply do as I advise.
