This may sounds like a silly question... but I am assuming that I need something to connect my phone to my pc... Will a bluetooth dongle does the job? I am planning to use XTNDConnect PC and other softwares that come in R4A package. Thanks |

After installation of Package 4 I tried to synchronize my t68i via IR port without success (no connection to the phone). In the system tray the IR symbol is shown when placing the phone close the IR port (i.e. IR-port is enabled and working). Can anybody help, please? Thanks.
I had a look to this forum and tried the following, again without success:
************************
1. In the Ericsson Mobile Phone Manager (MFM) I tried COM1 (which is the physical COM-port) and COM4.
Note: with my old Siemens S35 and the freeware Sx35CX communication via IR works perfectly via COM4.
2. installed Ericsson T68 IR Modem, download from sonyericsson.com. I tried erit68.inf and erit68_nt.inf. The modem can only be connected to COM1, which is the physical COM port, not the IR port! COM4, which is also visible in the MFM is not shown when configuring the modem.
In the phone and modem options there is also a "Standard Modem over IR link" which is deactivated and the property button is disabled.
3. installed IrComm => COM5 port. COM5 shows in the mobile phone monitor (MFM) but cannot be activated, message: "this system supports IrSockets...therefore all IrComm-ports will be deactivated" (translated from german).
The new COM5 is shown in the modem configuration, but still cannot be connected after having installed the T68 IR Modem on COM5.
I downloaded IrComm.zip from http://binaries.it-faq.pl/windows/drivers/cellphone/.

You can use Send File by christerson or you can use Sony Ericsson image editor which can be downloaded from Sony Ericssonn pages.
Hope this helps

xtnd connect (and most sony ericsson programs that talks to the phone) makes use of mobile phone monitor. go to control panel and open phone monitor option to specify the com port. |
