Don't feel sad about the thread have less issue on se product. You need any thing on se there's always someone to answer you. I mean issue for malaysia only. Btw Maxis mms is up and running. Those with gprs can sms to 22333 with this message \"mms sonyericsson t610\" to get the setting. But send and receive are charge till further notice me new rate. But now till september. First 50mms seen to be free according to newspaper report :-)

SE Fans and psycho: I think he bought it through this friend's hp shop. Can't confirm that right now, he's overseas on a business trip, won't be back in a few weeks. w26 phones should be out in the market now, ask for T610 with chinese input, I found that some shop don't even know where to look for the manufacturing week.
sshadoww: Hi...why don't you go to Ericserve in Amcorp Mall in PJ, they are selling T610 for RM1599 only, a lot cheaper than your friend is selling you. There's a shop in front of Carrefour in Midvalley is also selling for RM1599.
Longman and c96sthl: I post there (about gprs etc), nobody replied. I post here, got replies. So...
markng: its not just malaysia that has this problem. Reading from other forums, its world-wide. But if you're still looking for a nokia alternative, I suggest Nokia 6220. Its not out yet, but should be soon. How's your phone? Still dropping calls / go into sleep mode? Have you tried Maxis's mms yet?

Novell : Nokia phones are usually trouble free but I don't really like them. Don't really like user interface. The only phone I'm interested right now is the P810 but I'll be extra careful this time.. No more rushing out to buy it
My phone still sleeps sometimes but not as bad. Just a while ago, my GPRS signal drops and someone sends me a MMS...so instead of getting it on my phone.. I get a SMS telling me to log into Maxis MMS site to view it.. Duh, you see, little things like that sometimes does gets on your nerves. |

A little update on my phone, generally its great, but I noticed that:
1. The signal strength fluctuates quite a bit in my house. It goes from 4 to 2 back and forth. On my old nokia I get a full 5 bars all the time. But no problem making and receiving calls though.
2. The LED in the joystick does not light up at all when charging. Not sure by design or fault, but there's no mention of the LED in the manual at all.
3. When a person calls, the phone rings using the normal ring-ring tone first (for 1 ring), then switches to your selected ringtone. With the ascending ringtone and all, I don't get to hear my ringtones that much as normally I've already answered the call by the time the phone reaches my ringtone in full blast. Small matter I know but still...
4. When I was charging the phone just now, the phone kinda hang while in battery saving mode. Pressing any buttons doesn't do anything. After a while, it sort of restart by itself (SE logo comes on) and everything's okay again.
Now, is all this normal or is it just my phone? On the plus side:
1. Wap is quite fast (although maxis's gprs charges would probably kill me)
2. The screen under direct sunlight is quite readable. No problems there.
3. And lastly, my free memory was 860kb, so the 4mb rumours are just that - rumours!
markng and psycho: Have you bought usb bluetooth adapter or data cable yet? I'm going to buy it this evening or tomorrow, just want to make sure that I'm buying the one that definitely works with t610. Right now I'm targetting the MSI one. |

-> Same thing here. In fact this 2 days, my GPRS signal is dying on me again.

-> Turn off u'r phone while charging.. the LED will come on.

-> known problem

-> Nope.. I don't intend to get one. I use my notebook's IR to transfer stuff back and forth.

Novell : thanks for your suggestion, I did mention the price RM1599 to my friend and he said that one must be register to a new line , cause if he sell me with that price he will only earn a few dollar.. and he also said the chinese input are not official released by SE, perhaps just modified by local technician, I don't know whether it's true or not..
Anyway, I'm not rush to buy it immediately now, although my current h/phone is having problem (auto off and cannot recharge battery). I'm looking forward for any 'good' news for T610. Hopefully patience will bring me good fortune ;P

**it's kinda hard to say. even i dont get full bar all the time at my house. depends on ur area lah...i think!!!**

**never try that b4. usually i wont off my phone when charging. did u know that phone will come out a kinda of special tone when it's really really low batt. that's when the LED will start blinking.**
3. When a person calls, the phone rings using the normal ring-ring tone first (for 1 ring), then switches to your selected ringtone. With the ascending ringtone and all, I don't get to hear my ringtones that much as normally I've already answered the call by the time the phone reaches my ringtone in full blast. **u know what i do.... i will usually let it ring longer 1st b4 i answer it. c mon lah..give ppl around u a chance to listen to ur beautiful ringtone. **

**i've got the data cable only. it's working fine so far. no problemo 4 me. mainly use for transfering ringtones, themes, games, screensaver and lots more. and of course if u hav extra $$$ then go for bluetooth loh. as for me, no $$$ i 'll just stick to data cable **
PEACE OUT

I thought BT should be cheaper than data cable? Bought one as Mark suggested, RM115 in Pyramid. Can be lowered by few bucks, never bother to bargain. |
