Hey guys, just curious here.
Who is the President of Sony's Mobile business right now? Or is it just replaced by a General Manager?
I just realised that Mitsuya Kishida is not working for Sony anymore.

I dont understand where ppl get idea that besides PS, the semicon keeps sony alive when its revenue is barely above half what electronics bring. |

Semiconductor is a lucrative business because it has high profit margin compared to the Entertainment, Technology and Services.
Semiconductor is Sony's second largest money making segment (after Playstation) in terms of profit.
The thing is, Sony's revenue is huge but I would say that even nintendo has a better profit margin than Sony corporation overall;
Sony's other division isn't just good at bringing more cash returns. |

The imaging division has double the profit margin compared to the ETS Division (Electronics). |

For the volume of sensors they sell revenue is not much. Just to Apple, easily over 700 million sensors per year.
Now add tons of other phones, tablets, security cameras, videocameras, fotocameras, medical machines, telescopes, vehicles etc ..

They should turn pro-i into monocular with something like type 1.2 and curved sensor. From april/2022 to december/2022 the revenue of mobile is but higher than april/2021 to december/21.
This means ppl are willing to pay what sony wants. |

I still love Z3, XZ Premium, XZ1, 1 II, they are in good shape after years. |
