He's also written:

"Storage-wise you have 32GB of internal space and 256GB microSD storage to play with. There's no word on microSD support yet, but Sony usually includes a card slot, so we'd expect to see one in the XZ."

SONY state that "** SDXC theoretically can support up to 2TB card. However, 256 GB is the largest capacity of microSD card available in the market as of January 2016." in page 6 of this document.

I think the point owlsfan is trying to make is that he states there is support for a 256gb card, but then immediately says he has no idea about microSD card support.

can't even imagine 2TB on a microsd card right now. that's crazy but i'm sure its only a matter of time.

I think UK is one of the first if not the first to get it. I'm importing from there it's not available here in the US until the third week of oct.

woo hoo.. new slightly lower price!

@dacha - that's nice and all, but we have no idea in what conditions he is using the phone and how he is using it. There could be any number of reasons why it hit the temp warning. He wasn't really specific and just said it happened to him several times. Personally, I'm not too worried as I don't plan on shooting 2 hour 4K movies. I would think the new metal back and whatever they did inside would help a lot with cooling.

Guess we'll find out when we have it in our hands

My email just said that it dropped to 449.17 gbp. Didn't realize that the original price was 457.50.

Been waiting on this since my Z3 death (my fault) in May. I've always loved my Sony phones. I've been loyal since the P900 series to K750, and the beginning with the Xperia X1. I've tried many phones in between, mostly the HTC window mobiles, and Nexuses, but those were short lived....Xperia Arc and Z1 compact were easily two of my fave. The Z3 was the most reliable phone ive ever owned. Battery lasted forever, no software issues, solid build. People sleep on how solid sony phones are.

I'm ready to try the XZ!
