Hi, my C905 just had it's ear piece fail. I bought this item off E-Bay and they want proof of purchase. Do i just send them my invoice fom ebay?

If you don't got the original recipt (from when the seller bought it) then they won't fix it AFAIK

I contacted the seller on ebay and he posted me his proof of purchase and i wrote a covering note showing that i bought it off him through ebay. |

Does anyone know where i could buy the PBA key flex (the part that causes display and audio failure) online ?
I live in montreal, and our center doesnt cover phones purchased outside canada.

To be honest, i prefer the BROD, at least it can be repaired with a simple Update or flashing with a third party program!!!
The earpice problem t's hardware and is not that simple to repair if you dont have knowledge about that.

The smallest problem ever has arrived:
The dpad, when I press down it does not click satisfyingly like the left, up and right presses do.. which is nicely.
As I use down a lot I must get this fixed, anyone had the c905 apart yet, I'm pretty handy with a torx and gentle, but is it at all user servicable or am I having a laugh. I really dont want to have to replace this handset as well, especially for something so small.

Mistamatrix, can't you just have it serviced then? Mine's back from repair tomorrow after having the same (all too common, it seems) problem. Dpad down was bad but even worse and all numb was the shortcuts key. My bet is your down key will deteriorate even further with use. |

thankyou, yes you are right.. I've sent a request to SE now to repair the phone... I do not want another replacement I want a repair on my otherwise perfect handset (it's not even getting a scratched keypad!!!)
also I'm spending a small fortune at davinciteam getting the phone debranded everytime (since orange still seem to be stuck 5 firmwares behind (R1BA034!!!) and the branding is bloody awful anyway, tens of functions I do not want or need

-I have the c905 with software version: 1208-0527 R1DA032 090204, i had updated the software and noticed that my DOWN KEY on the key pad works like the END key, so now when ever i press it, it takes me the main screen and if i hold it long enough it shuts down my phone.
Any solutions for this?? |

i can have the same problem that you the down key is some hard to press so the solution send to warranty |

i'm on my 3rd in 2 weeks
1st one:
Sceen raised at one side
and the number 9 key stopped working after 3 days
Battery lasted a day and reached 97%
2nd one:
Updated my software/firmware and reecived configuraion error
Battery lasts a day and reached 98%
3rd one(Current):
Screen is again raised at one side
No smile shutter or other things which my other two had
Battery lasts a day and only reaches 97% |

I am really enjoying the C905 but recently i have been getting loads of faults, the most annoying one is the colour on the screen is faulty, sometimes when pressing the keypad the colours on the screen just change to a darker colour and makes it hard to read the screen, its hard to explain but certain colours just diassapear
I have not read about this fault in any other C905 has anyone come across it?
