I also wonder how beta this beta really is given the fact 9.5 was included in UIQ 3.3 proto's like the beibei. Don't expect to many updates apart from maybe one of two builds with bug fixes. Too bad UIQ is dead.

you are wrong...the version on beibei was also beta...much like the version inlcuded on htc touch diamond...
we will have more progress on the development of this product, just as much as the windows mobile version...and also, i expect they will present an s60 v5 version too, folowing the launch of the 5800

The proto's also had a beta yeah, I was just wondering how beta the beta really is since it has been out and tested for quite some time as its been included on proto's. There's no right or wrong here, i was just thinking out loud

Still finding 9.5 good. Kinetic scrolling not up to iphone standards gets better as you use it (delicately) but have a problem. My bookmarks is filled with multiple (maybe hundreds) of Home Pages that I cannot delete?
Help anyone? Can I do this from the PC?

I'd like to delete some of SE bookmarks like "user guide" and "BBC Food" but cant do it the normal way, it says "cannot remove bookmark", anyone knows where are these bookmarks stored in the phone?
What's the directory and the files?

Well, one way to go about it is to synch the bookmarks with the PC, delete the unwanted ones on your PC and re-synch to overwrite bookmarks on Opera

Syncing bookmarks is ok, but are you sure that it has any effect on the predefined ones ?

Does anyone know in which folder the bookmarks are held? Incidentally the new Oper 9.5 seems to share the folders with the in-built 8.65 |

i must admit that this new version of opera is much better than the 8.65 available to UIQ3 originally, so in that respect I like it, couple with "full" internet, zooming in and out, and better loading process it makes it seem like a good browser.
However there are some major issues, number one is the ram usage, far too high in my opinion. In fact, listening to music, having opera, and system seven running slows the phone down big time.
Next it seems pages take much longer to load and if i want to use this version i keep having to put 3g on. On the same note, links seem very difficult to open, you have to sort of move your finger to the link, and press it a couple of times and hope it opens up.
On the whole, better than 8.65 and for "full" internet i will always use this version, but for short bursts, it won't be taking opera mini's place just yet. |
