btw why are asian users privilegized over the other ones? are they better and/or more important for se? i never got that. its like nokia would release certain features only for finnish users...
Haha, yeah treu - but its only because Sony Ericsson proceed to release handsets superior to ours in Japan!
In the Japanese Mkt, users demand the features, yet don't really care about the size...
I would not say the JPN Mkt is more important for Sony Ericsson...moreso that the domestic JPN Mkt hungers for development of handsets, at an alarming rate, so where we wait up to Eighteen months for a new Sony Ericsson, in the JPN mkt, a phone barely has a life of half a year!
Plus, its really NTT DoCoMo/au by KDDI who control what the manufacturers bring out, they set out what their next '90Xi' ('X' being the 5, 6 etc) should feature - for example, NONE of the 905i range from DoCoMo features Bluetooth (God knows why!?)...
Its a Mkt driven by the Carriers, unlike here, where its a Mkt driven by the need to meet the demands of Users...

interesting... for se the only chance is to come big out, if they focus on the cam and music features imo, on any other areas no chance ( yet atm ) so if they would share thses cams with the whole world, that would be a big step to a wider market share imo

Yep, it would be a great way to achieve more Mkt Share - and Cut R&D Costs, now, if Sony Ericsson were to release handsets that were the same as those in Japan (but the JPN ones had their own features such as Osaifu Keitai etc added), in the worldwide Mkts, there would surely be no REAL competitors - after all, an N82 could not Compete with say, a 'C905i' - of course, we would have to see the addition of a Xenon Flash - such an exciting avenue for Sony Ericsson...

Sony α.........................i haven't plain the fact that SO905ics is producing bad pictures i just said that are no better than a N95/N82 in some N95 is better and in some S0905iCS is better......i only said that the N82 is a better allaround camera than the SO905iCS it destroys him in a night shoot comparasion.....photoflash is just a bit stronger than a normal LED and N82 haves real xenon 4m no problem....For Example:If you see a good digital camera with no real xenon flash wich would give you a chance to do some great night pics would you buy it or buy another one wich is producing same quality with a xenon?....i would go for the one with xenon.....and yes ,if the S0905iCS had got a xenon flash you may say that S090ics is a better allaround camera even better than the N82.This is just my opinion i don't wanna start a fight....For me a N82 would be better than the S0905iCS |

That is an auto international assist feature, which you will need to turn off...
When you get text... does the number or name come up???

I would suggest saving them one by one... so it lets you find the numbers using the letters otherwise you will have problems...
Let me know once you done it and if the name comes up on the text...
Have you tried that??? Does it work???

Anybody here owns a SO905iCS and have it unlocked?
I heard that once you unlock it with hypersim, then you can use it anywhere. Is that true? |

U have to purchase the hypersim and then use your sim and join them together...
It will only work on GSM network... for incoming and outgoing calls...
Most networks work without any problems...

I'm also thinking of getting this phone. What reception bands is the phone using if i buy a hypersim? I'm still debating as I hope it'll be reliable in Toronto. |
