i tried with my best steady hand for both picture

I agree with that, I made other tests to compare, there is more noise.

Which version of the camdriver did you use? |

The last from Number1, but photos are not always as good as these. I am interested in daylight photos with more contrast that should this camdriver produce. I will try in morning and post some samples.

another sample, daylight
camdriver01 4.75
New beta 4.75
i lamost can't see the difference.. but if we look closer, i think the white colour of the wall with new beta is brighter than with camdriver01.

i increased the contrast from 00 to 01 only very small change, the contrast increase is what causes all the noise i can increase it more, also most important does my new beta crash and what file sizes to you get?????. |

new beta doesn't seem to crash...
file size is about 50% bigger. For ex if you take my pics of the apple above, before we have 408ko and after we have 679ko (I precise that I shoot in 1Mp)

What is the maximum rate of jpeg compression buffer of k770, can may have over 1000kb photos in high resolution?

Hi Number1,
thanks for working on your camdriver!
I have 3 notices:
1) Your last camdriver hasn't crashed yet.
2) I didn't noticed any visible changes in contrast.
3) I really doesn't like this strange thing - sometimes the phone applies some smashing filter (maybe "your" bilinear filter?) to photo and then the output looks like from N93 (something like "watercolour effect").
I believe you don't like this post-processing too, so if you could be able to turn it completely off, I would be very thankful!
These photos are taken with your newest camdriver.

Very OK
OMG!

i'm pretty sure this driver doesn't have a biliner filter it's very different from the k800i driver the biliner filter is meant for use with digital zoom since you don't really have any digital zoom, that photo above just looks like the autofocus messing about .the path on the second photo is alot clearer than the path in the first photo, but the bush on the first photo is alot clearer than the bush on the second photo. also what file sizes are both the full photos???. |

The first is 890kB, the second 802kB, but these photos are not absolutely identical.
I took both with the same camera settings and with infinity focus.
So is this a noise reduction?
Do you agree with me that it is an unwanted effect?
Thanks.

i'm pretty sure the k770i & t650 don't have this noise reduction it looks like you moved when taking the picture and blurred it a bit or the noise reduction thing has been applyed in the new firmware it's not in the driver, in the driver there is nothing to do with noise reduction. |
