So basically all of them potentially have this problem? |

Yes, although you'd expect shops to have new stock now, and new stock to have the issues resolved. In practice, this isn't necessarily the case.

So no one can even clarify if new versions of this phone have rectified the faults? |

Up to W44 they still had faults....mine had: creaky back cover, batery cover which wobbled when texting and clicked when u pressed it, it also had a raised earpiece cover
I'm not sure if theres any batches later than that but from what i've heard the best built ones were not the first batches but the middle ones(after first batch, before later FW batches) according to what most people have reported who've had replacements.

Woah... W44.
My is W39. Creaky cover, dust under lens cover, screen reacts on press...
Since I don't have warranty how much do you think the replacement will cost? |

@LCARS-Expert
The screen thing still occurs on week 43s (not sure about later). I'm not certain that it's a fault as such.
Why don't you have warranty?

The screen? When I press it at the top, it moves. I discovered this because it creaks whilst pressed to my ear.

Check out this web page for the sony ericsson bluetooth speaker
http://www.sonyericsson.com/c[....]s/overview/mbs-100?cc=gb&lc=en
On this page it says"If you have purchased a K630i, K850i, V640i, or W910i please update your firmware in the next release in January 2008 for optimal performance."
Could it be true that we have to wait untill january for them to sort out the K850i problems?
On mine i have flash problems. the media player does not work. and pictbridge does not work. all software problems |

DaVinci Team has got firmware R1CA037 available now.
I haven't got as far as downloading it yet, so can't offer any clues as to whether it solves all of the bug list in R1CA029. |

Sorry.
At the end of the day, if that's my only problem, I'm happy to have that sorted at a service centre, rather than risk a worse handset!
