The smaller number in ISO means more details.
On GSM Arena "Sony Ericsson K850 vs. Nokia N95: 5 megapixel shootout" they say that K850i used ISO 64 too! ISO 64 gives a very detailed picture. Too bad there is no ISO 64 in manual setting.

Sony Ericsson auto mode chooses 1/30 sec and ISO 64, which is a good choice, while the Nokia strangely prefers to shoot at 1/111 sec and ISO 200.

Even with my digicam i never dared to use ISOs higher than 100, instead i use flash and have some tweaks in the exposure settings higher ISOs just increase the noise and given the fact that K850 sports CMOS sensor that produces finer yet noisier details in images switching of ISO is not an advisable idea. i think SE only incorporate that setting as part of having the cybershot branding

If there is enough light pick auto. If there is less light the auto function might pick a higher ISO.
Also, if your hand is shaking it will be less noticed on higher ISO but it might cost you a lot of details.

ISO doesnt always mean more deatil. It is a measurement of the shutter speed of the camera. The higher the number the quicker the shutter operates.

ISO rating really affets details. Example: If you take a photo of sand beach with ISO 500 the sand will come out blurry. With ISO 100 (or 64) you'll see sand as it is (well, you'll see it a lot more detailed than with iso 500).
ISO directly affets the shutter speed too as less detail requires less light.

Advices from our forum's best photographer

Couldn't agree more...

Thanks to it's superpower cam features (i.e. dual flash, cybershot 2.0, and photofix and so on ) that's why SE was unofficially called the king of all cam fones

Here are some questions about the "lens glass"

How is the glass in front of the lens??
issn't it annoying, does it easy get fingerprints?
And how is the quality?? Easy to get scratches?? (får det lett riper?)
