first dissapointment. no USB charging! why not in this day and age!

also, although I had a strong GPS signal which showed a very good location, when I tried to plan a route and I set the start location to gps position, it keep intermitently saying "no current gps position" or something similar and so wouldn't plot the route. I had to wait for moments when it said it had a gps position before I could get the route

while this was happening, if I went back to themain screen it still showed I had a correct gps position so I'd say its just the mapping software interfacing with the gps that caused that.

after a while it seemed to stabiliise and didn't lose GPS position in the plan route menu

other than that, pretty impressed so far actually

@bobafett, no idea to be honest as it could be download on demand. I just haven't figured it all out yet but I went to a few EU places, and to Sydney, all I saw all the detail

@miguel82, this will give you an idea

not sure I'm best to answer these as I'm new (again) to Nokia. Since 8210 I only had the 8800 and now this

no idea what sms reader is or what you are asking me to compare it with and haven't come across a voice aid yet?

the sms reader is the feature ( had it in e50 ), whta "reads" for u text messages in english ( dutch etc ) , its very funny.

voice aid

Voice Aid provides eyes-free use of mobile core functions: provides audio feedback from the contact list, phone logs and by number dialing using joystick or keypad. Additionally provides audio feedback for voice mailbox and current time
Voice Aid features volume adjustment and muting

its a very acceptable size given its functionality and, so far, ease of use, and on the topic of size I am very hard to please but this does fit very neatly in my hand

I'm assuming that others have the same thoughts? a very nice sized package

I like the size too. I wish it was a bit slimmer, but other than that it's great.

Going to get mine replaced soon because of the GPS. I just got the unlock code too

Now I need to do it all over again.

Ah well, can't complain with a new phone

Really wanted to play with it in Shanghai.

I've given the Prada phone to my girlfriend as well, told her to play with it and tell me how she gets on with it.

whats up with the gps?

I'm happy with the slimness but I suspect when the M610 shows its face with wifi I will be reconverted as I know I won't use the GPS in this N95, expect to test, as my garmin is brilliant

I'm charging again for the second time today though I didn't really give it a full go first time as I was too keen to try it out

950mah doesn't seem alot but I suppose a spare battery does not consume much space and isn't expensive, though I'd prefer to have usb charging as I almost always carry a usb cable
