i think you will find that i said its for evaluation purposes only.

if anyone wants to keep it for longer than 24 hours that is beyond my control.

I have the Orange SPV M1000 and the product code I recieved with the v6 that i bought I put in on the tt site gives me the same activation code.
So I figure that alls I have to do is use the GPS thingy and keep the SPV behind the cistern and I'm cool.
It's soo much better on the p990.
Saying that I don't notice much difference between 5 and 6 aprat from a few graphical touchups and a few more features.
Nothing ground breaking if you're using v5.

Quick update: My copy of TomTom Navigator 6 arrived this morning. Already had the TomTom Home app installed as I already have a TomTom One. The CD autoruns the Home application and from there you install TomTom and any maps and extras on your device.

The phone needs to be put into USB mode and connected to the cradle/usb cable. The TomTom Home application detects the memory stick, and you then select the type of device connected (in this case a UIQ version 3 device).
You then select the application and any maps and extras to install and it is all copied to the MS card in the phone.
Once you remove the phone from the cradle, you are automatically prompted to install the TomTom application itself on the device. There is no option to install anywhere other than the storage card.
Once installed you can then activate the maps - this can either be done manually via ttcode.com or I did mine over wlan automatically on my P990i.

So far so good. All seems to work well. Perhaps a little slower than my TomTom One in terms of the UI and screen refresh when driving (it isn't quite as smooth), but all in all very good.
I put in my TomTom plus account details for the Traffic and Cameras which I already subscribe to and this all appears to work fine too with traffic updates downloading as you'd expect.

All in all quite impressed so far. For me it is ideal having TomTom on my phone as that generally goes everywhere with me whereas more often than not the TomTom One does not.

What I don't understand is why TomTom are slow lame at updating the compatibility list on their site - I'm sure they would generate more sales if they at least mentioned that a UIQ3 version is available.

Hi all, do the different map versions all work on the same app version?
ie, versions 650.1111 and 650.1204 work the same, just that the later is updated or?

Is the maps the same for UIQ as for PocketPC and Palm?
Can I use the maps for Pocket PC for my UIQ 3?

Has anybody checked the Swedish "safety camera " files. Now with all the new cameras one has to be careful while driving in Sweden.
Is the database updated with all the newest cameras?
