but ofcourse the m600 will be a cheaper alternative for those who want a p990 but can't afford it. it is also a more corporate phone with lesser multimedia. |

How can that be that noone is replying here anymore..? This is supposed to be one of the best phones that are announced for Q2 to come.. I am very supriced that noone actually doesnt write anything about the M600.. Everyone is interestet in their ZZZilion megapixel camera phone.. how can that be? Is Esato dying out? I remember last year, threads like this were 100 times more alive than this year..

Still noone interested in the best phone that is supposed to be available in Q2/3.. If by the miracle anyone will see this thread please post some links with new pictures of M600 on CeBit..

Yes this looks like the next phone for me, i cant wait to see the phone in action at CeBIT, but isnt this a w950, without the walkman features, wtihout the 4gb internal memory, but with expandable memory? And also anyone got info when this actually comes out in the UK? |

But unfortunatly very few from M600. I must say that i am very dissapointed in Cebit reporters because this is supposed to be SonyEricsson forum and there are 4 pictures from P990, 6 pictures from W950, .. i wont even waste my words for K800 which BTW sucks big time.. There should be tons of P990/M600 pictures and videos for teasing and providing information... but no!!!!! lets give them ZZZilion megapixle samsung and pantech and ouyeah... BENQ!!!

To a certain degree I have to agree with you, I am interested in the other manufacturers products in as much as it's more industry info. But like you I would have liked more info on the P990 etc I cant agree on the K800 it marks an interesting point in the developement of personal multi purpose devices.
But perhaps the reason we feel we have been starved of information about the cutting edge models we crave, is the fact that Esato's members have been ultra efficient in keeping us all ahead of the market in regards to news about  products.
Perhaps sometimes we take for granted how well informed we are?

So so hot, this phone is amazing.
So is the OS identical in every way to that running on the P990 or not?!
That is what will make the difference to me. I have no real need for a camera and wi-fi, they would be nice, but the m600 is smaller and less bulky which i find to be important.

power switch is on top next to IR port.
OS is pretty much the same i think as the P990. there is a review already for the W950 and i imagine that except for the keyboard and the walkman player, the OS would be the same as for the M600.

The M600 is nice, but without a camera it's out for me. Infact I was keen on the P990, but now that the K800 3.2MP phone has been announced I'll probably go that way, unless a UIQ3 based 3.2MP handset is announced.
For me the most important requirement in a phone is to have a good camera. Once most phone cams reach 4-5MP and have optical zooms, I won't need to look at camera first, but until then I'll always choose a better camera phone over all other considerations (providing it has memory expansion and an mp3 player).
