Hey guys,

need some help from anyone that has linux and bluetooth knowledge if possible.

I recently installed Mandriva 2008 on my pc and am trying to pair my W810 with it via bluetooth. They find each other quite happily but when i try to pair them I get an access denied error on the phone. The default passkey is "BlueZ" which is not possible to key in on my phone. I altered this in the hcid.conf file but even doing this, my phone says access was denied.

Has anyone ever had this problem or does anyone know a workaround for it? I have raped google for answers and those that i do get are pretty vague or do not help.

Thanks.
I my 810

Surely they do. Unlike 'other countries',there is no one to enforce them
Nice to see N95 users in here I might be 'one of you' too.

Hardly time to esato lately; busy with end-of-academic-year school reports and a whole host of other mounting paperwork..

@ da brixsta:
I can't say I've ever warmed to Sigur Ros. I think of them as an Icelandic 'Coldplay' with elements of REM and Radiohead. Then again, I've only heard one album of theirs, so I'm not sure how varied they are between albums.

@ The Hobbster:
Glad that the Dark Side's flagship offering is serving you so well, boet.

Thanks a million Wangaman.Im so chuffed with this phone. Its top class. (Mario,I highly recommend it,superb) Can you believe I gave my P990i away to this girl I know that will probably never ever use the smartphone side of the phone.I just wanted her to experience something different than the non smartphone phones she always ends up getting.Maybe she will get an idea of why Im so obsessed with cellphones in general once she delves a little deeper.

Hey Brixsy, hope you well bud and havent caught any STD's of the horrific kind on your travels lol

On top of the Vodacom4me.co.za website " The iPhone you've been waiting for.Coming soon."

"Introducing iPhone 3G. With fast 3G wireless technology, Maps with GPS, support for enterprise features like Microsoft Exchange, and the new App Store, iPhone 3G puts even more features at your fingertips. And like the original iPhone, it combines three products in one - a revolutionary phone, a widescreen iPod, and a breakthrough Internet device with rich HTML email and full web browsing."

"iPhone 3G - It redefines what a mobile phone can do - again!"

"You can pre-order your iPhone 3G by pre-registering - available to anyone, not only Vodacom customers. Our iPhone sales team will be in contact with details, as soon as it becomes available."

There we go Gucci, you minds been made up for you lol Vomit

Boet, I'd love to be there; right now I'm being Nurse Wanqa, as the better half is really not well at the moment. Watching it live while I get a sachet of Lemsip (Medlemon in SA) for her.

This past week, the media, on every single day, has focussed on 2 very contrasting African figures; ie. Mandela and Uncle Bob.

Yhu, Sipho 'Hotsticks' Mabuse's on now, LOL.

EDIT: The Great Man's presence and short, powerful speech has left everyone reaching for their tissues. Phenomenal. So sad to see him so frail.
