The icon for popup menus in the wap browser has changed in R1N035. Now it looks like a text file icon. Wap to Esato and go to this thread for instance and you'll see.

it doesnt matter where did you buy your phone and which site you will use for firmware update, SEUS will check CDA of your phone.

Hi Guys,

Any news on the video quality with R1N?
What about the speed? Is it faster than R1L?

Ouch...

Nothing evef works with me... I followed every step of the instructions, and guess what: my phone does not start. Even the "safety mode" (use it only the main mode failed) can't connect to the phone...

Black screen is all I got.

I REALLY don't understand.

My phone is not branded or anything...

Hye,

I confirm that, i've just tryed to update from different Sony sites, and they always want to give me the R1L002.

And like some guys before, they don't tell me that i already have it, they just want to flash it again with the same firmware (R1L002).

My K750 :

By in France.
R1L002
prgCXC 125952_EU_1_CL

ITP
CXC 125 932 R1B

Personnalisation:
CDA 102338/52 R4A
cxc 125953 RL002 FR_1

PA 19

Is there a way to force the update to the last firmware ?

Someone says to change the CDA with davinci, but for the davinci tool you must pay.

It doesn't matter which countries web site you visit to get the firmware. The firmware you receive will always be the same. It depends on the locale and customisation of the phone you have, not what web site you visit.

Not just using SEUS, no!

Yes, that is true. If you change the CDA then you should be able to fool SEUS into giving you an updated firmware.

However, having said all that if you are using an generic EU_1 phone then just wait until tomorrow when SEUS are expected to release R1N for this region.

THX Mike,

I'm just gonna wait a little.

I will had that the firware updates delete my created shorcuts, so you must create them again.( I don't know if it has been told before)

SEUS just updated my K750i to version R1L002, with ITP SW revision ending with R1B.

Rather strange. The progress bar jumped from 50 to 100% though, as someone mentioned earlier.

(UK K750i, unbranded)

1. When updating to R1N035 you don't have to recreate your shortcuts assigned for the joystick. With all former firmware updates you had to recreate them. Note! This has nothing to do with earlier firmware problem about losing shortcuts when turning the phone off.

2. When creating a new e-mail message and adding an address from the phonebook, there used to be a "More" menu where you had the option to make a video call. That's fixed in R1N035, and the option is now to mark more items instead.

3. In the phonebook there is (and always was) an option to enter membership information (second tab from left, between e-mail and webb address). With R1N this option is still there, but it's greyed out for some reason. Chosing it brings up a popup window saying "Not available right now".

This is named "Presence ID" in R1A and is also grayed out with "Currently Unavailable" displayed if you select it.

I'll add your info to the first post.

#mwarner

Only had the firmware on now for like 5 minuttes, but heres my findings so far

Camera Image improvement, fine mode less compression
Camera Video improvement, like R1A upto 200Kbit/s 10fps recording
Screen Improvement, Gamma/Contrast was to bright on earlier firmware, has been turned down slightly, looks noticeably better now.

@mwarner

Remember, it's my own translation to English when I write that a popup window says this and that Meaning it could differ from what it actually says on a phone with English.
