The phones which are switched off should say they're fully charged then, when they are fully charged on the latest firmware.

They sure do! Thanks - its a start but unfortunately because by default the clock screen saver is on & the backlight fades after a short time I still have to press a key to see if the phone has reached a "fully charged" state...

likewise... R1J here but no indication if the battery was already fully charged. It only says "Optimized Charging".

'Optimized Charging' appears when you charge the phone with the power on. the 'Fully Charged' message appears only when you charge it while it is turned off.

bear in mind that when the battery indicator stops moving during the charge cycle, the phone really is only about 95% charged. you should leave it for another 30 to 45 minutes to allow it to trickle charge the last 5% or so. total time for a full charge is probably around 3 hrs with the power off.

just charge it before you go to sleep and it will be ready to go in the morning.

It shouldn't make a difference whether the phone is switched off or not. Basically the phone charges a little faster when off, but 3 hours should do it... (page 6 of the standard SE K750i manual states 4 hours...)

However I still think that there should be some sort of indication that the phone is charging and its finished charging even with any form of screen saver running. I understand Li-Poly / Li-Lon charging technology charges a slow slower at the minumum and maximum ends of the range... But even so when you have large numbers of phones in front of you all charging and not one of them indicates when its finished charging even after 12 hours?

Damn, if that throws me what's going to the end users?

Thats just being bloody lazy.

@ all - the phone does charge faster when off, simple as that. The phone also i assume only says it is fully charged when off because it actually is. If the phone is on when charging it is still using power, so cannot really be fully charged.. ?

As for an indication that the phone is fully charged, how would you do this ? the only way i can think would be to have the phone beep loudly once (like Nokia phones) to indicate the full charge.

A flashing LED to indicate a full charge uses more power than you'd realise. In fact, a flashing LED consumes more power than a static LED.

You ever seen 80-100 K750i's all charging at the same time? And you wanna explain to a bunch of users who..
a) Want to know when the phone is charged?
b) Want to know why the USB cable can't fully charge the phone... (In fact if the phone's battery is over 90% plugging the USB cable in slightly drains the battery!)

Which makes me wonder why the flippin' LED only comes on / flashes when THE BATTERY IS LOW! And actually - if the phone is running on AC power it doesn't matter how much power it consumes does it?

Bring back the T68 !!!

G'day,

I've got a k750i on Vodafone. Had it a month or so. Lately ...last couple of days, it's been crashing/freezing a fair bit.

I know this has been mentioned a lot of times around here, but i can't seem to find any k750i-specific answers to this question:

Will doing a Master Reset help?

If I do this, what will I lose? the games included when I got the phone are only 3 trial versions (thanks a lot Vodafone!) so I don't care about losing them. Have saved all contacts to SIM card. Will I lose the ringtones? There were only a few really basic ones anyway - thanks again Voda! ...but would be good to keep the standard 'ring'

Is there anything I've missed before I do it?

...or shall I not bother anyway?

Also, as its got Vodafone firmware, can I update it from SE?

Thanks in advance for your help

If this info is somewhere else, please point me in the right direction.

thanks

I love my K750, but is it just me, but the panorama function can't be used with 2mp only the 640... Also, whenever I press the activity button or buttons beneath the screen there is a nasty creeking sound me the case, anybody else found this? Also my camera cover doesn't slide go line with the phone, its a bit loose... O2 are sending me a replacement thank god. Cheers

and the red light is also flashing, what does that mean. i tried turning it on while it was charing and the phone just vibrated for like a sec

does anyone know why?
