@mamba: I was able to use Glo's GPRS WAP on my line a couple of months before they officially announced it. I used it for 2 good weeks before they apparently discovered and blocked the pipe. It was simple, I had the MMS settings then, and just put in what I deduced the WAP version would be. In the case of Mtel, I have no lead to sart with, but I would take a chance...

@mamba: Like I said, I had something to work with. In this case, nothing. But you will need these parameters: 1. APN eg. mtelwap 2. username: eg. wap 3. password: eg. wap 4. IP eg. 100.200.300.400
All examples I have given are simply that - EXAMPLES. Play around a bit & see if you can come up with something.

@areafada: You should get GloDirect (full Internet GPRS) to get the best of that beast. Believe me, its a world of a difference, and cheaper too (just a little bit though).
Yeah, Demmy, Brym!, DeeOne, & a couple of others.

@angel: Please don't mention it. I am glad you finally got your new phone. There's something about a new phone... like a new toy
I wonder when I'm getting mine. Making up my mind isn't easy - and the price tags on the toys I am attracted to don't help much.

@mamba: I have seen the #680 and its got great specks. But the Linux platform is relatively uncharted - very few 3rd party apps available for it
About my P800, the camera and MS Duo slot no longer functioning. Let me know if you are still interested and I'll name my price.

@AYA: Just interested, how old is your P800 and what caused the MS Duo and camera to be knackered?

@brix25: I acquired it last June. The MS Duo slot stopped working after about a month. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version and it came back with the camera not working. Couldn't be bothered to return it to them, as it had been away for over 2 weeks already.

@ihe: Yes; via SMS. But quite limiting and very limited compared to real mail. For example, no text formatting, no attachments, no images etc. But, yes it is definitely better than no email at all.
