Is it just me, or is this always the case with new mobile phones?

Its not only release dates that are a mystery. Even the technical spec (features, memory size etc.) seem to be a big secret until one gets the phone in the hand.

Some pictures:
The Led is now placed under the powerbutton...

The phone being charged, the connector cover is therefore up.

The phonelight.

All images are taken with a K700 in tricky lightning (inside with a window nearby..).

uk buyers..

spoke to a guy in the sony centre in my local town he said they have the phone on sale in the next 2 weeks, they would only be selling them sim free.

That would be very strange as 'Sony Centres' do not sell SonyEricsson products! In the same way that they don't deal with Playstation products either as these are 'different branches' apparently.

Which 3 colours are they then? I thought there were only 2 of which just 1 is available at the start.

@Andershj, the manual states 4 hours and I always follow that guideline

@bobafett, the sms alert tones are the same as the ones on the T630 with one exception. On the T630 each alert tone is prexeeded by the same initial tone and you do not get that on the K700, just the alert tone itself

Should get mine tomorrow , didn't really want to buy an import but the wait was killing me
I know plenty of guyz anyway to help me out if need be on warranty issues.
I will let you know my thoughts on the K700i tomorrow.

@bobafett

On t6XX series the sms tone sought of played twice and on the k700 it doesn't. Is that correct Masseur??

@Bobafett
Listen to the 6 message tones on the T6x0. U should notice that each one starts with the same little 'intro beeps' before the different tones begin.
The K700 does not have this 'intro'. It just plays the actual messase tones from the T6x0

I been so busy selling these I havent had a chance to say one word on the phone!!! I have to say one thing im impressed is the sturdyness of the phone, It feels really solid unlike some of its predecessors which seemed a bit plastic!

The camera and clarity of the user interface will blow him away!
