am I missing something about MMS? I've only ever sent one or two but looking in messaging the only thing I see different is the ability to attach a photo?

If you record a voice memo there is an option to 'share' it via MMS

yeah, but MMS, in my recollection, is sound, pictures and text all in one message. This looks like you can send either text OR sound OR picture, but not a combination... unless I am missing something?

I've only ever done it on the T68i and I'm sure the MMS editor let you combine these elements?

@masseur nah i av sent a few pics from my iphone using 3.0 and u can attach text as well to the pic. easiest way to do is is to go into camera roll in pics and hit the forward button then mms option. then just click next to the pic and start typing...

No option to add sounds though... looks like its a sound an text or an image an txt lol.

Loving 3.0... slightly more speedy doing general tasks and battery is lasting a little longer...

I remember the editor on the T68i - you're right, sending an MMS on that was like creating a little Powerpoint presentation, you could have multiple pages and add sounds, pictures, I think you could even set the timing for when each page turned? Not bad for a phone that didn't even have a camera!

Do SE feature phones still have all that? I bet they do..

Lol sounds just like how Apple crippled the SMS previous to 3.0, MMS support hasn't been thought out properly. Well for the jailbreakers out there SwirlyMMS is always an option as it's a full featured MMS app, and the new version also only came out a month or so ago.

Well that depends - has anyone ever sent you a multimedia slideshow extravanza of pictures and sound via MMS, or do you generally just send and recieve the odd funny picture? If it's the latter, maybe Apple haven't got it quite so wrong..

LOL i get your point, but to not be able to send an audio clip, picture and text together is a bit retarded tbh

I disagree. I, and my kids, liked the built in "Happy Birthday" MMS template on the T68i

So everyone finally joined me into 3.0 heaven???

Frankly, after months of using it on the betas, i´m a bit bored. That will only change with the appearance of apps that use the new APIs, next week, like push notifications (anxiously waiting for beejive 3.0 free upgrade)

Even so...3GS is lurking on my mind...i reckon i´ll have to get it somehow

Mate, I'm even contemplating it tonight! I installed iTunes 8.2 last night in readiness Might end up going back to JB 2.2.1 after the weekend when I get bored of the default look though

And i know how you feel about the 3G S, although it seems a relatively pointless upgrade, and an expensive one at that, it's lurking in my mind too and i want it. Better is better

Maybe I'm too easy to please, but the 3G S pleases me because it's not an essential upgrade. We're all getting or have got 3.0 anyway with all the improvements that brings, I can live with the next guy also having video recording and a smidge more speed, especially when the iPhone's so darn responsive already and apparently snappier still on 3.0.

I like the S, but I won't be buying one, not unless something terrible happens to my 3G in the meantime. I'm happy to wait out my contract, and then spend my hard earned on the 3G "Even Faster" or whatever comes next.
