@ Gucci:
Ya boet, thanks. I really do miss Mama Afrika, for all its problems there'll always be a yearning of sorts to be amongst 'my people' and our beautiful homeland.
But I never bother going to SA get-togethers here; negative and stereotype Saffers here really don't bring out the best in me, as they usually either slag off SA (if they're trying to justify their stay or immigration) or this place (if they're trying to get what they can out of the 'Engelse' system).
I know I'm generalising here, but for example it's worrying to hear when two Brits, who work with us, feel that we're sincere and approachable enough to say to the mrs and I that we're the first 'decent' South Africans they have met... , i.e not racist or arrogant etc etc. Eish, we have P.R. work to do here, methinks...

Eish, looks cold there, boet!

Eish ya thats true. Unfortunetly you can't escape it, even here in SA there are a lot of people who slag it off, most of my friends are under the mindset that SA is the worst country and anywhere else would be better, most of them were born outside of SA so to them this is just some 3rd World Country their parents brought them to, its sad they don't appretiate what we have here. Ive given up on defending SA amongst them because right now the bad is totaly over shadowing the good, and no matter how beautiful we think this country is, Zuma and his boys; ANC Youth league, the Shaik Brothers ,Eskom and the good ol Tito have found a way to make it look bad.
WOAH! I hate spiders!!

The UK supermarket giant, Tesco, is now selling the W880i for 79.99 (approx R1200).

So cancel both 'Beibei' and the P5... must've read Dogmann's retort about outdated processors etc etc :

I'm glad, actually. Maybe now will pull their finger out a bit more, as regards what they put in their higher-end phones.

A shout out to everyone down SA, especially to Brix! For those of you who remember AYA from the Nigerian thread, well this is he under a new username
Sorry to bump your chat, but I'm in need of some info, and I'm hoping to find help here.
I run a company that's into web and mobile services. With the recent launching of 3G/3.5G by two of our GSM networks, new opportunities abound here in Nigeria.
Can anyone point me to companies in SA that deal in USB HSDPA modems? We'd love to place an order for those for retail in Nigeria.
Kindly PM me or mail yomiadegboye(at)gmail.com if you have any info I can use.
Many thanks in advance.
PS: I used to be known as AYA |
