The fingerprint sensor looks exactly like the one on Xperia 1II. Likely its the same. For the button I think its customize button which is good! Just like the "c" buttons in alpha cameras ~ |

Yeah. Looks like you can choose function like assistemt, video recording or something else.
I just think weird the fact they almost recycled x5 body instead of new design.
Even colours are same of x5, except it lacks the red.
1ii looks far better.
I am curious if this screen is the one with more blue (instead of green) that can give same ppi of 4K despite being 1080p.
Saw on weibo many months ago.
I saw on gsmarena an interesting comment.
Person thinks that 1ii and 5ii could end up being like A9 and A7iii.
Stripped down version, instead of just smaller version with same features.

Xperia 1 and Xperia 5 corner are sharper. The mark II corners bit rounder which I prefer more. |

Android already has double click power button to launch the camera. They could enable shutter button to open cinema pro. This extra button makes it look more cluttered. Does anyone really want another Bixby button? It'll be harder to mount this on tripods and the likes.
And using it for side sense features is the worst solution they could have come up with to solve the reliability issues.
Not using flat sides isn't very important but after giving 10ii the same overall shape, it kind of detracts from 5ii's premium feel. |

Despite the no ToF and feeling it may not be as good AF as 1ii, ppl seem very excited about the phone.
I am sure sales between oct - dec will be more than sony expects because of this device. |

I agree that the extra button adds to clutter. What happened to Sony's minimalism? Also, happy that Sony gave consumers the option to choose between 4k and 120Hz display.  |

Don't have to be a basher, The selfie camera of XZ2, XZ3, Xperia 1, Xperia 5, Xperia 1 II are all horrible.
It's like a downgrade from XZ1, XZ Premium, XZ1 Compact era.

XZ3 was supposed to be better because same hardware of XZ.
That is the price paid for 6mm bezel.
The 13MP of M5/X/XZ has 2x the area of 1/4" used now.
Also it was exmor instead of shittycell.
Judging by all samples seen on tech sites, XZ2P was the best of all.

It's like the only two option for the phone are thin bezel + poor selfie camera or notch + better selfie camera.

I was rather hoping for the more angular design of the 1ii. I already have the X5 and wondering what I'd be gaining if I was to upgrade?
I more reliable FPS? (This hasn't been performing too badly of late.) And what else? I suppose I'll have to wait for the final spec sheet.
