Do you have to pay for it now.. I know you can upgrade it. I thought you could choose not to pay?,
What about ICQ

No I haven't got either but was thinking of setting one up. To be honest don't really understand how they work or which is best? Someone told me you had to pay for MSN so never bothered but don't know if that's right?

If you worried about spyware, try getting Ad-Aware from Lavasoft (sorry, can't remember the address). It'll scan your computer and find any "suspicious" programs, cookies etc. and then give you the option to remove them.

This is basically just so I get my phone logo to show up properly.
Msn is good, you don't need to pay, you don't need hotmail, and its built in to XP so if you have that you theres very little reason to bother downloading anything else. icq has more features, but its really rather bloated now and the contact list is stored on the pc and not the server. which makes things tough if you want to reformat, or use it from several places at once.
Does anyone use musicmatch? It used to rip a CD on my pc at 8x but now its only going at 2.5x. I don't think anything much has changed except I've got my TV card running.
I'm likeing using gprs now, but if you go out of range the phone does not disconnect properly and can get itself stuck. I've had to turn it off n on again a couple of times now.
I really like this place so i think i'm gonna stick around. Never posted much anywhere before even though i've been online for 5 years. |

Have to agree with EddWo with regards to the MSN vs ICQ thing. Does ICQ provide the option for voice conversations? |
