@Brix News, weather, sports etc are all "Old School". What about SMS chatting or SMS Dating? That's what I am talking about. I don't think any Nigerian GSM network will DARE offer porn. The uproar will be too much. Naija has this (fake?) "religious" facade we carry about. @AYA, I am lokking at your site...cool!

@coolapostle: Yes, you can even date someone anonymously via sms. That's only for the desperate though. There's only so much that can be done with sms...I for one am not a big fan of all the premium services because many people have paid for content that was never delivered to their phones...The networks won't say anything because they're not the service provider- merely leasing out space to WASP's.

@brym!: Thanks. AOL should work with GloDirect (which I use now). All you have to do is install an AOL-compatible app. Nope, it wont work with a WAP account.

@zico25: Welcome aboard, pal.

Hi, Zico welcome aboard. @All Am I correct to say that many Glo subs are no longer browsing via WAP???? Is it just the GPRS bill or lack of compelling content.

Hey Guys! I want to reccomend a visit to www.mobilenigeria.com The Guy in charge just upgraded it and it looks cool. Apart from Esato.com, it is the only site I VISIT EVERYTIME I BROWSE.

@coola: I wonder myself. If Proudly Nigerian attitudes to WAP as seen here are a reflection of the generality of Glo WAP subscribers....

....then there is trouble ko? I just read that Glo GPRS subs are now 130,000. I am sure they are counting something else! Oh well.... I have a suggestion to improve our "return-rates". Any new person that comes should drop his number so we can send them txt when they vanish for too long. How that? Even Brym! and Angel have dropped off these days. And the King of monlogues is gone... boo-hoo-hoo...

@coola: I guess people are simply being prudent with their finances.

Truth is, most people with access to WAP are not particularly interested in forums. Email, ringtones, wallpaper, screensavers are more like the things they need . You'll be amazed that even in Europe and the Americas, that is the trend as well.

@coola; Just call my name and i will be here, am not a Glo subscriber anyway, and sometimes u majority glo subscribers here hold discussions that snub me out, so am always reading behind the scene, until something interesting from mtn pop's up. Maybe oneday when Mtn goes internet like glo, then i will be more frequent. Coola i like what those guys at mobilenigeria are discussing about MTN, just hope that MTN is reading those complaints, so they can improve.

@Angel Maybe its time U switched to Glo ...eh? @AYA I find it hard to believe that Glo subs still download anything with the present tariffs. Let me ask... how many of us here have downloaded ringtones and Themes since Glo started charging? I think voice and SMS are competing against WAP and WAP is losing out!

@coola: I am certain you are correct about the majority. However, I still download apps, images and tones for my P800 fairly regularly, among other things. However, I suggest a reduction in GPRS tarrifs if Glo wants to make any significant earnings from GPRS data.

@angel: Get a Glo line! Be a sport. If you agree, I'll pay half the SIM card cost Anything to have you more regular around here.
