Exactly, people wont remember but when i posted pictures back in 2005 in the K750i post a picture thread people were posting some terrible pictures. Mine were excellent, and people said how fantastic they were.
The Satio is the same except stupid SE released the phone in autumn here in the UK, therefore all my pictures are dull, boring and because im in work 6 days per week during daylight hours ive nothing to use the 12mp camera to shoot anything decent.
More annoying in someone posting in the Satio pictures thread that the pictures are downscaled fit in the forum, which gives a false sense of quality. But how the hell can you tell how good an image is when its resolution is many times higher than your pc's desktop resolution ? So many stupid comments on Esato these days.

Actually not stupid at all.
For instance these photos (800x600 or whatever) are so small that you could post a picture from some other phones and say it is from Satio. But if you put full size pictures, then you can easily see how is the pixel per pixel quality, what is the noise level,
how big quality print can you expect with this photos, what is the difference in quality comparing to 8mp phones, and so on.
"But how the hell can you tell how good an image is when its resolution is many times higher than your pc's desktop resolution"
You download the picture and then when you want to preview it, the computer automatically extends it to your desktop resolution, there you can see nice preview and you can also zoom in to judge its quality...
simple and useful as that
(and I really think most potential buyers want that)

I agree that looking at a photo at 100% is the only proper way to tell one picture from another. If you downscale any image, it will get rid of a lot of the noise and other artifacts and make everything look a lot better.
Of course, there's an argument for dropping the resolution in the settings menu to something closer to what you actually need. You'll speed up image processing, saving to the memory card, uploading and so on. I'm now taking photos in 9MP mode (for 16:9) but could easily go down even further.

I own the 5800 before, the way we hard-reset it is by turning off the device then press (simultaneously) the "call" + "endcall" + "camera button"...then turn it on. Don't let go of the pressing til it's fully rebooted. Try it if it was the same on Satio.

Have you ever wondered that SOME people may be using Satios that are completely UNBRANDED, which is a phenomenon that's absolutely unheard of in the UK, and that these Satios might be without any major issues even after having been loaded with extra applications...even cr^#&*d ones???

Fair enough, but Carphone Warehouse (the shop that's stopped selling the Satio) only sell unbranded Satio's. So Carphone Warehouse are saying there is a problem with unbranded handsets!
This is great news for customers. Instead of SE trying to keep it's problems as quiet as possible, CPW have made a stance which will hit SE hard so that's why SE really have to speed up with the firmware updates. Time is money...
I got mine from CPW and I've not had any issues and I'm not exactly a light user!

Either you're dumb or you can't read what you see. I suppose you refer to me when you write 'stupid', so that means I do not owe you the tiniest sign of respect. Let me refresh your biased little brain: I've simply written that with donwscaled pics we cannot see the essential details of the picture, such as noise, sharpness, chromatic aberration, shadow/highlight clipping. Still, I feel really sorry about your VGA resolution display, because in mine those pics look very very tiny. I guess that this last comment about having a picture with many many times more res than your display is so dumb of yours that you do not even realize that it's like the same as say that 12 Mp are pretty much uselles. If that's true, we should stick to our good old k750, which offers more res than most displays out there. Your stupid and narrow view of things do not allow you to see that, my friend.

Wow. A personal flame aimed at me..
First off, i mentioned no names. I mentioned nobody as being stupid rather that their comments were stupid. Which they were. The whole point of the sharing pictures thread is entirely to do that, share pictures. Not to nit pick and use the thread to review the phones camera capabilities. Its just a bit of fun. If as an esato user you wish to do that, then create a discussion thread where people are invited to make comparisons with other handsets. The sharing pictures thread is for posting pictures and not in depth discussion.
You make far too many assumptions and completely missed the point entirely. It is obviously you that cannot read what you see. By making offensive comments like tiny brains, calling people dumb and claiming they have a biased view you've completely lost all shred moral high ground.

Yeah, you're quite right. Stating that something is stupid is a pretty polite way of starting a conversation.

This conversation has been ongoing for 118 pages. My comments are relevant as people here have been discussing the Satio, but most of which has been from the negative-normans on the forum.

symbian devices usually have an "Home Media" function under tool, connectivity menu that let us
share media files via wifi from a pc to a phone...
I noticed that satio lacks this features, is there a way to share media files from satio to pc via wifi ?

Whenever you'll be installing anything on you're phone , it would prompt you where would it be saved. But my advice..don't install themes into phone memory.
