@HOBBS: I'm currently in Metro Manila, Pasig City to be exact and Vodacom told me that they could not deliver any of the phones to me on that list. Its all grvy though, I'm not complaining my N70 is still going strong.

So I arrived here on Sunday afternoon after an almost three hour flight from Bangkok...got into the plane still hungover a crazy party on Saturday night that extended into the early hours of Sunday.

Manila is quite different from Bangkok my arrival at Ninoy Aquino airtport was enough to convince me of that. The international arrivals hall looks like a throwback to Jan Smuts of the 1980s...dreary, ugly but suprisingly effecient. Was out of there within 15 minutes including passport control and waiting for my baggage.

Yesterday I got "lost" in the city, travelled on the light rail system and checked into some malls for electronics- thats where all the fun ended. Compared to Bangkok, prices on all electronics here are quite expensive I would say even more expensive than what I would pay in Slaapstad at say HiFi Corp. Because of this I've put off buying a laptop locally, will probably head back to Thailand later this year to visit friends and pick up some gadgets.

PS: I've been quite depressed about the xenophobic violence in Jozi. I have a lot of friends who just happen to be Zimnbabweans and Zambians...hope the nonsense ends and T-Boz does something about Zim.

@Kripta, I personally think, we have seen the worst of it. Locally, we may have a bit of a problem over the weekend because the tjokka man are returning and almost certainly will accuse the foreigners of sleeping with their wives and girlfriends while they where out to see. (A accusation which is not that wrong - mind you-) We will try to close as many shabeens on friday night as we can and already are removing as much dagga as possible from the community/location. What I find strange is - the police intranet talks about 64 confirmed dead (most of them extremely violent, even by african standards) and yet the press backtracked to less then 30 ! ! ! Now also there is mention of a 3-th force (whoever that may be), who is 'organizing' all this. I won't be surprised if some nut head will put all this mess on AWB's account That at least, will 'please' lots of people in the government (will save face). Needless to say South Africa (African's) are the laughing stock of the world right now. It looks like those who have predicted, spiraling inflation, food prices, deteriorating infrastructure and just about all government departments, corruption etc etc, may have been right after all  I still remember when I come here in the late ‘80’s, SA was better in most things then Australia and now . . . 1 AU Dollar is 1 USD, while 1 SAR is 7.5 USD  I still think: ‘Affirmative Action’ was South Africa’s downfall, on the other hand the government had no choice but to implement it 
As Plato said 2000+ years ago ‘The worst form of inequality is when one makes unequal things equal’.
On another note, my N73 has been handed in for ‘repairs’. I send my wife there, after all is her phone. I might just be lucky – although I very much doubt it.
And yes – this time I did use a spell checker.

I have to admit that it is enough to make me one of the darksiders and as JC said, it shouldn't be too expensive. But we live in SA, probably going to cost double. obviously we'll have to see, don't want to jInx anything i think i just did

Im also looking at the N78 lol, hmmm. . . August should be an interesting month.
The N78 is going to be released in Euro at a lower price than the N81 MicroSD version, so it should be well priced.
I cant wait to see S60 OS9.3 FP2 in action in the N78,it now has animated menus, and transitions. Also i read that you can set your own voice as a warning tone, so when the battery is flat instead of playing the low batt sound it will play what ever you wrote/recorded talk about being TOO customizable. Lol

Most sites claim N78 will be released at 350€ yet the N81 was released at 360-380€ and the 8GB was over 400€, and i got the N81 soon after release for R4200 so imagine the N78. it should easily fall in to the Weekend Everyday contract or Business Call on Vodacom then, anyway im just assuming according to how they did this with the N81.
