macro shots are focused on an object at a very close proximity and the background (most of the time) should look blurry. hope i got that right hehhehe.

Agree with @vwbeetle, he described the original intention of this thread.
However, i like @619's explanation, very accurate: A pic of a cherished thing becomes an extended representation of a member's personality. E.g. 619's phones, skrue's fave bands (thanks for those), etc.
I myself don't like to post my ugly face here in full.
My humble suggestion for pic criteria here: 1) The pic was taken by the member or someone he/she personally knows, not some internet download thing; and 2) It isn't spam. |

I guess the thread has evolved into something better where we can post our favorite breakfast lunch and dinner, pets, phones and other gadgets, places, and of course, our loved ones as well. But generally, the thread has been very Pinoy and comfy for all including newbies to just come in and get into the mix

I guess not. Please make sure you have the permission to post pictures of other people.
We already had an experience before where a person in a photograph requested to have their picture posted by someone else removed from the thread
