@Rookwise

i had the same problem, i thought it was a fault with the phone, because i had the phone on my dell computer n had it attached to the usb port, and it kept rebooting a good number of times, thats one of the reasons why i gave up and handed my phone back, so thats a common problem? but if i keep it away from metal objects when i get the phone the next time round, it should be ok, ur telling me ??

Yes. Certain metal objects affect recent handsets. The reboot problem that the S700 had has been discussed on Esato and is still ongoing. have already admitted the problem exists for the S700 but nothing has been said about the K750.
Looks to me like they both have the same problem.

Btw it is not a firmware/software fault. have said that its a hardware fault on the S700. Something to do with shielding.

S700 rebooting thread can be found HERE

Were you able to recall what you did before it rebooted, or was it just sitting idly?

Look first, ask second!

Found it here: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=92737

"To find out which firmware revision your phone currently has installed, perform the following:

>*<<*<*

Where < and > represents pushing the joystick left and right respectively. "

My phone is running RIJ002.

I know it's now possible to use mp3-files as a alert-signal for new SMS and such... but is it possible to use them (mp3-files) for the alarm as well?

If I for example want to use a very screamy loud metal-song to wake up to, is that possible? cause that's what I want, hehe.

Yes, you can.

You can even use the radio as alarm.

I think I have to ask yet another question before I order the phone...
Has anyone tried downloading an episode of a tv-serie (Like "The OC", "Fawlty Towers", "Allo' Allo'" or something), convert it and watch it in landscape-fullscreen-mode on the phone?
If so, how did it go? was it watchable? did it play smoothly throughout the whole video and so?

Yes, they work fine, although can become rather pixelated.

Also, the on screen icons arent shown when you want to pause, ff, rw, or slow-mo.

Also, i cant find a way to switch between landscape and portrait - if you try to get back to the media player when in landscape it stops the entire video. Very annoying if you're 30 minutes into a 90 minute feature film.

Thanks etaab, that's good to know.

For you who didn't know, it is now possible to "try the phone" on Sonyericsson.com, atleast on the Swedish site.
Enjoy! - I will, I hope =)

Stupid question in the middle of all this, but with all the problems noted in this discussion is the K750 worth buying?

Seems like everybody's turning them in, eh taking them back to the store...

Good night y'all

Well I've got 2 K750i's (one for each hand!) and there's one thousand of them boxed directly behind me complete with CDS-60 stands, HBH-662 headsets and a sack of contract sim cards.

Guess if they weren't any good my organisation wouldn't of brought them, would they?

Seriously, people are more likely to moan about something than praise it, so maybe it's looking a bit one-sided regarding the K750i. I personally think its a class piece of kit...
